Happy Friday! Can you believe Halloween is tomorrow?! (And that November is on Sunday?!) To be honest, Halloween has never really been my favorite. While I obviously love overindulging on Halloween candy and I do love dressing up and putting together costumes, I prefer to do it randomly for theme parties throughout the year. Halloween has been hit or miss for me over the last few years… In 2012, Hurricane Sandy derailed my Halloween plans in New York. In 2013, I was busy opening the Capwell + Co pop-up. Last year, I went back to Chicago and “dressed up” as one of my doppelgängers. (Another pic here.) I won’t be dressing up this year because I actually made a quick trip to Mexico for the weekend. More on that to come!
This metallic bronze-y orange mani was about as festive as I got this year! If you are opting out of dressing up this year, too, but don’t want to feel like a total scrooge, this look is a easy spin on an orange and black outfit if you have any non-costume Halloween festivities to attend.
I bought this ‘suede’ skirt in two colors because the price was too good to pass up! I’ve already worn this cognac-colored one twice… Stay tuned next week for the the other way that I styled it! I think it will transition well into the fall with black tight, too.

I’ve been looking for a suede skirt, and this is super cute! I like you paired it with just a plain black sweater too. Very cute, and I may have to steal your idea. 🙂

Wow, have fun in Mexico, I’m a little jealous! Love this skirt too, I agree random theme costume parties are more fun than Halloween 🙂
