It’s the first Friday of the year so I couldn’t miss this week’s Friday Finds! The first week back after a longer break is usually tough, but I really appreciated how this week felt a little bit slower. Seems like everyone was taking more of an ease-into-it approach, which was a welcome change!
I managed to get Dave’s tree ‘undressed’ on Tuesday evening so the delivery service could pick it up to recycle on Wednesday. Mine on the other hand… It’s still up. 🙃 I need to go to The Container Store to get some storage boxes and get all of my decor taken down this weekend! Other than that, this week was pretty uneventful. Played cards one night, played Jenga another… Seems like hibernation season is officially upon us, haha.
We don’t have much else going on this weekend… Going over to a friend’s house tonight to catch up and visiting some of Dave’s friends in the suburbs on Saturday. Should be a nice little weekend! Hope it’s the same for you. xx jrs

Dave made this Ambitious Kitchen Healing Chicken Soup for me when I had Covid, and we’ve since dropped off a pot for friends that caught it after I was recovered. It’s seriously THE BEST chicken soup I’ve ever had. Cannot recommend it enough!!
When we got back in town on Sunday night and saw accumulated snow on the curb, I said, “Welp, looks like sneaker season is over.” I try to get away with wearing my cropped jeans and low profile sneakers for as long as I can, but now that winter has finally settled in for good, it’s time to cover up those ankles. Boots tend to feel too heavy and cumbersome unless there’s snow on the sidewalks (IMO!), so it’s now high-top sneaker season for me. Here are some really cute pairs if you’re in the market…
