Friday Finds || Vol. 3, Week 19

Hope you’ve been having a great weekend, friends! I’ve had a whirlwind of a weekend and am having a major case of the Sunday scaries today… I keep falling into the “so much to do, so little time” trap, and keep having to switch my mindset. Everything that needs to get done, will. And all of the things I’m worried about will work themselves out eventually.

On Thursday night, a few friends and I went to see The Platonics at Second City and it was a fun change of pace. So if you’re looking for a different weeknight (or weekend!) activity to do, tickets were cheap and lots of laughs were had.

On Saturday night, I attended the Music Matters benefit put on by the Ravinia Associates Board that one of my girlfriends is on. It was such a fun evening — dinner, a live auction, and lots of dancing! And it was so inspiring to see how much money was raised for an incredible cause that I feel strongly about. Ravinia’s Reach*Teach*Play education programs bring music education to communities and schools without music programming in place. There was an Irish dancing performance, and we also got to see Sir James Galway play the flute… Admittedly, I didn’t know the name before the event, but once a few of his iconic tunes were played, we were all in awe!

This week is going to be a quick one… I leave town on Thursday for a fun weekend trip with friends. Last year, nine of us went down to Gulf Shores, Alabama for Hangout Fest and it honestly was the most fun weekend of the entire year. And I guess we did a good job at selling it because this year our group has expanded to TWENTY ONE of us, haha. My plan is to not be on my phone at all, but I may share a few snaps or videos on Instagram if I have the urge. Of course, I’ll be sharing my outfits once I’m back!

Here are this week’s finds…

Remember this outfit post outside of the Field Museum last summer? Well they just brought back this dress again for this season! I wore it to a black tie summer wedding, but it would be great for a gala, too.

I just got this Loopy iPhone case and I am OBSESSED WITH IT!

A few new favorites on J.Crew… Going to *need* this gingham midi dress, it’s gorgeous. And under $100! These pointed-toe woven mules are MUST-HAVES, but I can’t decide if I’d wear the white or the black more. I looooove this sweater tank! The halter neckline is always so flattering if you have broad shoulders (like myself). And this linen gingham jumpsuit is so fun.

So intrigued to try this thigh chafing stick! Summer is (hopefully) right around the corner… 🤞🏼

BaubleBar’s 30% promotion is running right now and it’s the perfect time to stock up on some pieces to elevate all of your summer outfits! I’m loving all sorts of ring stacks, ear huggies, and statement earrings. Seriously can’t get enough right now! These natural earrings perfect and go with everything. Obsessed with these lilac beauties. Loving these multi-colored stunners. These pearl hoops are a MUST! How gorgeous are these ear crawlers? And I love the simplicity of these cuffs.

I *LOVED* hearing Mark Manson on Girls Gotta Eat!

And then loved hearing GGE on BOP!

And don’t miss my friend Kate on Girls Gotta Eat this week, too!

Great tips for networking!

Obsessed with this pearl hair pin!

A really interesting interview on Short Story Long with Grant Cardone.

My clear Prive Rivaux sunglasses are back in stock! (You can see how I’ve worn them on the blog here, here, & here!)

    Megababe is awesome. The thigh stick has basically been a lifesaver for me. Btw, I love these lists! They’re some of my favorites.
