Spring & Summer Silhouette

While the warm, sunshine-filled days have been few and far between lately in Chicago, we lucked out with an absolutely beautiful Friday morning a few weeks ago and it was nice enough that I could comfortably take off my jacket when I was walking around Millennium Park with my friend, Ashley.

The trees were blooming, the birds were chirping, the grass was actually green, and the tulips were looking as bright and bold as ever! It’s those little moments where you can’t help but smile and breathe a sigh of relief. Winter might actually finally be over, haha.

I’ve never been much of a ‘flatform’ kinda girl, but I’ve worn this pair a number of times in the two short weeks I’ve had them. I’m just 5’5”, so I appreciate the little bit of lift while remaining super comfortable! I will say — they take a time or two to break in since they’re high-quality leather, but I’m at the point where they’re feelin’ good.

When I was picking out my outfit for a recent partnership with Dillard’s, I saw this railroad stripe dress and knew it was the one! I am down-right obsessed with feminine midi-dress silhouettes with little feminine touches like ruffles at the shoulder and a tiered skirt. They’re unbelievably versatile… work, weekend, and everything in between. (FYI: I’m wearing a Medium here and could have probably gone down to a Small! But since it was for a partnership, I didn’t have time to exchange in order to meet deadlines.)

And you guys!! Do not even get me started on this bag. I’ve literally worn it every day since I got it! The leather and canvas is perfect for spring and summer, and I love how it’s small, but not *too* small. I think it’s great for day-to-night! You can actually totally remove the strap and use it as a clutch, too. (Or even add a fun striped or embellished strap if you’re feeling fashion-forward!)
