Oh haiiiiii there friends, I’m alive! (Or am I?) It’s been a crazy last week and a half. Last Friday (which seems like three months ago), I was sitting down to finish this Friday Finds post and things have been downright chaotic since. Last Friday (November 30th), I packed up my apartment in Bogota and flew to Mexico City for our final month of Remote Year. A bunch of my friends from Chicago were already in town in CDMX so I hit the ground running… And then woke up sick two days later. I tried to keep my head up while they were still here, but I’ve been battling a nasty head cold all week long. Being sick, coupled with about four other bits of ‘news’ I’ve been hit with this week, has made for one very, very, very long week. I’ll be sharing more soon, promise. My friend Kate’s book, Twinkle Twinkle Social Media Star, is finally available! It’s hilarious and a must-have for expecting parents, new parents, and long-time parents a like. It’s a children’s parody book, similar in style to Go the F*ck to Sleep. (You can see Kate on TV talking about it here!)
I love Meghan’s initiative of spreading kindness and joy this time of year! Definitely check this out. As another one of my favorite’s (Gabby Bernstein) says, “Each person’s energy matters.”
Another friend of mine has a really cool coffee company based in Chicago, Javaya. I may be biased, but I think their annual coffee subscription service is the perfect gift for the coffee connoisseurs on our holiday gift list! ☕️ (Or if you’re gifting yourself, this month-to-month option is where it’s at!)
This is a really interesting (and engaging) video about the influx of Venezuelan refugees in Colombia right now, something that has been a big topic of discussion while I’ve been living in Colombia for the last two months. I’m not one to get political on the blog, but I think this video is especially relevant and important to watch with the current happenings at the US borders.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial household so luckily I learned some of this speak at a young age, and then had to take an insurance class in college that nailed down more of the concepts, but I still find myself feeling all sorts of confusion about what to do at time.
