Friday Finds || Vol. 2, Week 37

Friday Finds is finally back! I don’t know about you guys*, but these are usually my favorite posts each week. It’s fun to share my favorite things and connect about all sorts of topics that we don’t always get to, and it’s also fun to play cheerleader for some of my friends and fellow bloggers that are doing awesome things that deserve a share! (*Well, that’s actually a lie, I do know about you guys and know that you feel the same about these posts being some of your favorites. #NumbersDontLie)

Happy Friday, my friends! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xoxo JRS

Here are some of my favorite finds lately…

If you’re reading this on Friday (and not belated), please go watch Jessica’s Instagram stories. Wowza, I got the tears-streaming version of goosebumps, especially because I watched the story at 1:11am. (I’m currently under six blankets in bed in an AirBNB that doesn’t have heat in Cusco, Peru, so I wouldn’t have felt real goosebumps, haha.)

Like I said, I’m currently in Cusco, where the elevation is 11,500 feet (that’s double Denver!) and I’ve been swearing by these tips to fight altitude sickness. So far so good!

God knows I’m a sucker for a self-help book! I was so surprised to find this list of must-read books because most of them are new to me. (Totally co-sign with Gifts of Imperfection and 10% Happier, though!)

5 Way to Prepare for Self-Employment

I Left My Life Behind to Travel” … And no, I didn’t write it. 😂 (But I could have… “I’ve spent the better part of 2018 traveling, writing, and generally regressing in all traditional areas of adulthood.)

Similarly, I read Kathleen’s post and sent it to a few friends this week! Something, I, too, am struggling with lately.

Dying for a pair of these old school sneakers.

Kat’s video from Italy has me wanting to plan a(nother) trip! Italy never gets old, especially during the summer.

I swear I’ve always got sneakers on the brain… Currently crushing on this pair and this pair!

Absolutely loving how this dress pairs olive green with blush pink so well. Perfect for that summer to fall transition!

Your chances of finding love on a plane are surprisingly high!

I’m not doing an ayahuasca retreat while I’m in Peru, but there have been lots of conversations about it within the group. Personally, I’m actually pretty open to it in the future, but this trip isn’t the right timing for me right now. I found this article to be very fascinating!

UM THERE IS A HARRY POTTER COLLECTION AT PB TEEN! How did I not know about this sooner?! Here are a few of my favorite items…

A guy that I’m traveling with on Remote Year made this cool video from the trip to Haucachina last weekend! (I’m not in the video, as he was in the Saturday group, I went on Sunday. But you’ll see lots of similarities from the Insta-stories I posted!)

How cute is this wrapped skirt?!

Can’t wait to smell this new Molton Brown scent!

How to Navigate Parties as an Introvert

Meg’s Birth Story and Battle with PPD both had me sobbing. I’m sure you’ve gathered by now that I’m a huge advocate for mental health (if not, Hello, my name is Jessica Sturdy.) and I’m so proud of the moms that are sharing their stories. I’m personally lightyears away from pregnancy, but I already know I’m the perfect candidate for PPD. Reading stories like this helps not only new moms that might be struggling, but also educates loved ones on what to look out for and helps future moms be more prepared, as well. ❤️

And to end on a lighter note, how gorgeous is Chriselle’s new collection at Nordstrom?!

The Harry Potter collection is amazing. I would have died if I got a Harry Potter suitcase in middle school. I love that the next generation loves it so much too! xAllie

Just sobbing at my desk after watching her stories. Going to go compose myself now. The numbers thing blows my mind. At least once a day I see 1:11 or 11:11. I hope you’re settling in well! Cant wait to hear more 🙂
