Friday Finds || Week 13

Happy Friday! It’s been a rainy past few days here in Chicago, but another fun week on the books. I started the week on a bit of a cooking kick… I used to subscribe to Plated when I lived in NYC, but I finally started it back up again here. Looking forward to branching out a little bit when it comes to my weeknight recipes! Tuesday was jam-packed… I kicked off the day at the new Fairgrounds coffee shop in Bucktown with Jena & Eva and we sampled their coffee, matcha, and five of their breakfast entrees… It was all SO good! Afterwards, I shot some new outfits for the blog before taking the second half of the afternoon off for a little spa day with one of my besties. After our facials and reading by the (indoor) pool at the Peninsula, we grabbed dinner and rosé at Little Beet Table in my neighborhood. The whole afternoon and evening were such a dream… Such a lovely mid-week treat! My Wednesday routine usually involves working at the Chicago Athletic Hotel lobby so I spent the morning there before heading to lunch with my friend Kelly at Travelle. Another unbelievable meal… They just added poké to their menu so we tried the tableside tuna poké, the octopus, avocado toast with crab, and their beef tartare! I essentially had to roll myself home afterwards. Yesterday was SUCH an exciting one… I FINALLY GOT MY BOOT OFF! After nine long weeks, I’m walking on two feet again. I can’t workout for a little while longer, but I’m so happy to ditch that bulky thing. And just in time with all of the rain! Lauren got into town last night and we had plans of heading to Flamingo Rum Club or the new three-story wine bar in the West Loop, but we opted for wine on my couch and spent the night chatting and catching up. We’re grabbing breakfast with Katie this morning at Atwood and then I MUST glue myself to my desk the rest of the day… I’ve got a mile-long to-do list to wrap up before EOD. Send productive vibes my way!
