Another outfit from two weeks ago in NYC! As I’ve mentioned, it was v. hot and humid so getting dressed was a major challenge. I popped into Zara before the trip for the first time in probably two years. There wasn’t a specific reason I stopped shopping there, I guess it just kind of fell off my radar for a bit. But when you want fashion-forward pieces at affordable prices, it’s a must-visit!
I saw this skirt (for a mere $39!) and knew I had to have it. It’s so perfect for transitioning into fall! The color palette is everything I want my fall wardrobe to be… olive greens, pinks, blues, and hints of a rusty color. I’ve planned so many outfits with it already!
I wore it here with an olive green bodysuit, leather mules, and a long white blazer. The blazer was simply to feel a bit more put together, but to be honest, I only put it on when I was going inside for meetings. I had it off anytime I was outside! So sweaty.
I wore the skirt again in London during London Fashion Week (so much more on that to come!) with a sheer turtleneck (one of my favorite trends for fall… more on that to come, too!), a suede moto jacket, and Stan Smith sneakers. And I’ve got my mauve blazer sitting aside in my closet in Chicago to pair with the skirt once I get back! Options are truly endless. A slim navy turtleneck… An oversized green sweater… A chunky fisherman sweater… Oh, the possibilities! That’s why I always love a printed skirt.
