Happy New Year, friends! I’m excited to kick off 2024 with lots of fresh content, but first, just a couple of outfits from the end of December.

I wore this outfit out for a festive dinner date with Dave! It’s not too ‘holiday,’ though, so definitely use it as inspiration for any dressy winter outfits you need over the next few months. We dined at Olio E Piu, which just opened in Chicago. Their original location is in the West Village, just down the street from one of my old offices when I lived in NYC. It was my favorite go-to spot when my parents were in town visiting! Dave and I actually ate there when we were in NYC this past May. It’s always been very cute and cozy inside, but it’s been massively expanded outdoors after 2020. The new Chicago location is kind of a mix of both… A very charming, cozy vibe, but a very large dining room with lots of tables! Food was delish, would definitely recommend making a res.
- J.Crew Tissue Turtleneck
- Kate Spade Bow Belt (old; similar here)
- Ralph Lauren Pleated Skirt (sold out; similar here, here, here, & here)
- J.Crew Opaque Tights
- Stuart Weitzman Sock Booties
- Amazon Silver Bag
- Martini Earrings
- Bauble Bar Eternity Band
- Lipstick: Stila ‘Beso’
This oversized bow belt is an oldie, but a goodie that I’ve held onto! You can see it styled on the blog back in 2015 in this post and in this post.

A casual, but festive outfit I put together for Christmas with Dave’s side of the family. I didn’t wear two different socks, but was trying to figure out which color I liked best. Ended up wearing the safer gold option, but wished that I had gone for it and wore the red shimmery pair!
- J.Crew Blazer (this color is a few years old; similar green tweed style here and green wool style here)
- Old Navy V-Neck Sculpting Tee
- AGOLDE Riley Crop Jeans
- Metallic Gold Belt
- Ralph Lauren Plaid Flats (similar here)
- Sézane Ring
- Red J.Crew Shimmery Socks
- Sézane Gold Shimmery Socks

I wore this outfit for the longest leg of our Canadian roadtrip, from Chicago to Toronto!
