Friday Finds: No. 161

Happy Friday, fam! Can’t believe this week flew by so quickly, but here we are… in DECEMBER. I mean, where did this year go?? December is always a bit of a hamster wheel… So much to do before celebrating the holidays, so much to wrap up at work before year end, making special moments for your friends and family, the list goes on and on. But I always try to find some time for reflection, too. What went right this year? What visions do I have for 2023? Maybe I’ll do a post later this month about reflecting and manifesting for the new year!

While my to-do list is a few miles long, we’ve got pretty low key plans on the calendar this weekend. It sort of feels like the calm before the storm! I need to finish decorating, get serious about finding the last few gifts I need, and finish up some holiday content to get published here on the blog.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

What I Shopped & Browsed This Week

If you missed the Sail to Sable x Style Charade holiday capsule before it sold out, you can now shop a few styles on Tuckernuck! Three *very* cute styles, each with a well-placed bow or two. Perfect for holiday parties!

Birdies launched their holiday collection and I’m obsessed! If you’re not familiar with Birdies, they’re outdoor shoes that totally feel like slippers. The company was founded by two women who wanted a chic pair of house slippers while entertaining guests! I have a few pairs and they’re just as great as they sound. You’ll love their jazziest new collection! Perfect for low key holidays parties and beyond. The Dove in Black is my favorite! (PS: If you’re in between sizes, I’d recommend sizing up. I’m normally an 8.5 and while their 8.5s totally fit me, I’m a tad more comfortable in their 9s.)

You’ve seen me rave about my new Old Navy jeans the last few weeks, but I saw that the same style was available with their “built-in warm” technology so I had to order a pair! I’ll keep you posted once they arrive.

Obsessed with this moto jacket.

Ordered this plaid headband for everyday wear this month!

These sherpa sneakers are on my wish list! I feel like they wouldn’t show a lot of wear and tear with their mushroomy color.

I ordered these boots in both Black and Olive and still haven’t decided which pair I’m keeping. I needed a pair of warm, slip-on boots for walking Marley and these totally fit the bill. ย TBH, I love every color they come in.

My friend Jamie released her first product… The Progress Over Perfection Planner!

Another friend of mine founded a wine company earlier this year called Best Coast Beverages! I haven’t been to California since she launched so I haven’t had the chance to try her fizzy canned wines. But she just got nationwide shipping going this week so I ordered a few packs to try them out! She has the cutest merch, too, which is great for holiday gifting while supporting a small, female-founded business.

What I Read & Listened to This Week

I feel like I’ve been in holiday mode with both work and play and have barely consumed any other content, but I did read this post from Julia about her experiment with sobriety. I’ve mentioned my Sober Curiosity on the blog dating back to 2019 (in this post) and I’ve still never tried any type of sober experiment more than a week or two. While I used to go out a lot more and would drink when I did, I actually probably drink more now at home with Dave. We both love wine! Granted, drinking wine totally feels like a different type of drinking than slugging vodka waters at a club, but it’s obviously *way* more caloric. Obviously the holidays is not a great time to try out a different type of lifestyle, but I’m going to give it more thought come January. It’s been a little voice on my shoulder for years, and especially after reading all of these reader submissions, it really makes me want to give it a try.
