Happy Friday and Happy FALL, y’all. Wow, feels like we went from summer to fall in the blink of an eye. We’ve been having the most beautiful fall weather this past week or two in Chicago and I can’t help but wish October would last a little longer! Outside of summer, it’s always my favorite month. We had a pretty low key week over here… I got my new bivalent booster and flu shot on Monday so I was feeling a bit under the weather on Tuesday, but overall a good week. We went to a (somewhat sleepy) concert at The Chicago Theatre last night, but other than that it was mainly just work and cooking dinner at home. We’re actually having some unseasonably warm weather in Chicago this weekend (temps in the 70s!) so I’m excited to get lots of long walks in and enjoy some time alfresco. And our friends who moved to Louisville this summer are back in the neighborhood for the weekend so it will be good to catch up with them! Hope you have a good one.

I’m mainly just sticking these here as a means for organization, haha. When we were at Gethsemane a few weekends ago, Dave commented on a chiminea (he looooves a wood burning fire) and I told him I’d do some research. I found a couple I like looks-wise, but I’m not sure exactly what our plan is for where we’d put one… Maybe this smaller fire pit on our back patio and another bigger one on the rooftop? I also need to do some research re: safety. Anyways, just saving them here so I can find them later!
