It started with the tennis skirts and workout dresses last summer and has since grown into a whole aesthetic. Coined “Tennis-Core” over on Tik-Tok (where else do trends start these days 🤪), it’s all about embracing that extra luxurious country club lifestyle, or at least dressing like it. Think summering on the east coast, playing tennis in your chicest ‘fit before a ladies lunch with a sweater draped over your shoulders, you get the idea. I read Second Wife Energy somewhere, and it totally fits the bill. No matter what you call it, it looks luxe. That whole Sporty & Rich vibe.
Tennis-Core: Effortlessly classy and cool. Laidback sports-luxe look. An athletic aesthetic that errs on the preppy side.
Make no mistake, the trend doesn’t stop at tennis. Paddle, pickle ball, or any other court sport, or even hitting the links. Think course greens mixed with your tennis whites!
Want in on the trend? Same! And I’ve already done the shopping for you by rounding up the chicest whites, gorgeous greens, preppy navy blues, and the must-have jewelry and accessories, too. And don’t worry if you’re not the sporty type, these looks can be worn on and off the court!
Color-wise, look for grassy greens, bright whites, black, creams, and more greens. A little navy never hurts, either!
You can’t go wrong with anything Tory Sport or Tnuck Sport, but I’ve done some even deeper digging. Sporty & Rich is another fun brand to look into. But let’s start from the ground up… In terms of shoes, the Reebok Club C 85 is classic. Tretorns are another great style! Vejas and New Balance, too.
And I cannot get enough of these socks!!
You can’t forget the jewelry either! They don’t call it a tennis bracelet for nothing. If stacking your wrist with a Rolex, Cartier bracelets, and diamonds isn’t in the cards at the moment 🤪, I’ve got you covered. You’re probably going to want one of these timepiece bracelets to start!
Another brand that I’m currently obsessed with is Recreational Habits, who basically encompasses this entire aesthetic through an inclusive lens. They call it The New American Classic.
Now let’s get to the good stuff…
Are you shopping anything from the tennis-core trend?! Would love to hear your thoughts!
