Rosé + Chardonnay

It’s finally Thursday, which means it’s basically Friday, and that means is the weekend! Right?! I mean, do days of the week even make a difference anymore? It’s hard to say. But no matter what day it is — I’ve got an exclusive (deep!) discount on wine for you, and an invite to a fun (virtual!) event next weekend.

Cambria Wine's Julia's Vineyard Rose of Pinot Noir on the beach at sunset at Coral Casino in Santa Barbara, California.

Next weekend I’m hosting a virtual wine tasting with my friend, Jill, the winemaker over at Cambria Wines in Santa Maria, California. I first met Jill back in October when I visited Santa Barbara last! Cambria and Jackson Family Wines hosted us at the notorious Coral Casino for the most stunning dinner at sunset. When we arrived, glasses of rosé were passed around and I was truly taken aback by how much I liked it! (You know I tend to go for the French rosés, almost exclusively.) It was an incredible evening filled with great conversation, delicious food, and even better wine from a few different wine makers with Jackson Family Wines.

Fast forward to January when Jill was visiting Chicago on business… We caught up over a glass of Cambria’s Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay at the bar at Gibson’s in the Gold Coast, and I confessed that I’ve always disliked white wine. 😳 Turns out, I actually really enjoy the right type of chardonnay. And Cambria’s is one of them!

Jill is great and so easy to talk to, and I was looking forward to her future spring visits back to Chicago! But obviously the world changed quite a bit between January and now… So I thought it would be fun to get together virtually over a glass (or two) of wine, and invite all of you, too! #CambriaOnTheCouch

Here are the Zoom details…

Virtual Wine Tasting with Jill Russell of Cambria Wines

We’ll be tasting two of my favorite Cambria wines that are so perfect for the summer season ahead… Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay and Julia’s Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir.

I’m so excited for you to meet Jill, learn more about Cambria, and sip on some wine with us! It will be the perfect little Girls Night In. Don’t worry, though — guys are allowed if they’re around! We know it’s not exactly easy to find alone time right now. 😂

And no worries if you’re pregnant, nursing, or not drinking… You can still join us if you’d like! And it’s totally fine if you’re sweatpants, hair-tied, chillin-with-no-make-up-on, and want to join with your video off. You do you, girlfriend!

Can’t join in on the Zoom? Not to worry, you can still take advantage of this *insane* offer that Cambria is so very generously giving Bows & Sequins readers!

Use code SEQUINS for 20% OFF + FREE SHIPPING on CambriaWines.com!

Not only is 20% off wine amazing, but if you’ve ever shipped wine, you know that free shipping is the equivalent to gold! 🙌🏼 Just note there is a four bottle minimum with the code! This promotion is valid through May 11th and can be used on all of Cambria’s wines*, not just what we’ll be tasting. (I had their Pinot Noir at dinner in Santa Barbara and really enjoyed it, too!) *The promo is not applicable to the Landmark or Clones packs, as those are already bundled/discounted.

To ensure you get your wine in time for the tasting next weekend, we’re recommending that you get your orders placed by Saturday, May 2nd! So hurry, hurry.

And don’t worry if you missed the ordering window, you can find Cambria locally with this store locator!

Any questions at all, please let me know! I hope to see you there, and I hope you’re able to stock up on some delicious wines for the next month of quarantine and summer months ahead. 🙂

What a fun event! I adore Cambria wines-I live in LA and my husband and I make it a point to drive up to their tasting room several times per year-we’re never disappointed! Everyone at the winery is so sweet and welcoming, and of course the wines are all incredibly delicious.

When we got married last year, we had a destination wedding which meant we couldn’t really plan ahead for the alcohol situation. Lo and behold, when we got to the island we found a store that had Cambria! So their Pinot has an extra special place in my heart as it became our wedding wine 🙂
