I can’t believe I’m writing this, but the holidays are right around the corner… Ah, can you believe it?! I feel like I say this every year, but wow – 2019 seems to have flown by faster than ever before. And holiday parties and fun festivities will be here before we know it!
In the summer months, I try to let my hair air dry as much as possible to avoid using extra products and hot tools… But even so, the sun, sand, and sweat always seem to have done a number on my strands by the time fall rolls around. Couple that with the drier air and increased styling and blow-drying time (leaving the house with wet hair probably isn’t the smartest idea when it’s a mere 30 degrees outside!), my hair starts to feel more like straw than the glossy blonde locks I’m going for. I know you ladies with color-treated hair especially feel me with this one! And we all know that tough, dull, dry hair makes for a bad hair day every time.
That’s where the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots come in! And let me tell you, I don’t think I’ve been so impressed with an at-home hair repair treatment ever before. I noticed an immediate difference after using just one ampoule!
The must-have winter hair accessory you didn’t know you needed!
Nothing beats the feeling of a great hair day, am I right? I’ve never been a big blowout person (mainly because I try to get my sweat on daily, so it always seems like a waste of money!) but I’m all for at-home treatments that make me feel like I actually went to the salon. The product comes with three ampoules, and just one ampoule includes a deeply-absorbing blend of Pro-Vitamin B5. I kid you not – my hair felt so silky and smooth the first time I tried the Intense Rescue Shots in the shower. And that silky smooth feeling definitely lasted for a few days.
The application is quick and easy, too! While you’re in the shower, use just one tube in place of your normal conditioner. So, shampoo as normal (I’ve been using Pantene Pro-V Repair & Protect Shampoo to complement the Intense Rescue Shots), rinse, and then fully coat your strands (from root to tip) with one entire ampoule. You’ll have a very generous amount of product to work with! If a certain area is particularly prone to damage (ends for me!), give it some extra love. From there, simply leave the contents of the ampoule on for 30 seconds, and then rinse for 30 seconds. It’s that easy! Just make sure you don’t over-rinse. Since the product absorbs quickly and you rinse after 30 seconds, you won’t have that feeling of weighted down hair that you run into with a lot of conditioning masks. And I speak from experience on this, you won’t be able to stop touching your hair afterwards!
So if your hair is feeling over-worked, over-styled, or over-processed, you’ll definitely want to pick up a box of Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots. They’re available at CVS!
Pantene challenged me to try these shots after seeing the negative effects the summer heat had on my hair, before heading into the holidays. The before and after photos speak for themselves, but I wish you could feel the difference, too! These shots will become your go-to hair care product this upcoming holiday season, as they’re perfect before a big event. And if you’re in the sharing mood, be sure to post your own before/after pics using the hashtag #PanteneToTheRescue!
No doubt your hair is beautiful – and so are you!

Thanks so much, Rena! xx
I have NOWHERE to wear a dress like that and yet I think it’s the only thing I’m asking for for Christmas. Stunning.
Girl, I FEEL YOU! I saw it and immediately needed it. And when I was brainstorming creative shots with the Pantene packaging (outside of boring bathroom photos), I was like WAIT — that dress is gold and black, the packaging is gold and black, let’s go with a holiday theme. Any excuse to buy the dress, really!
Gorgeous Leopard Print Sequin Dress. I love Pantene products so I might need to try the rescue shots.
