If you’ve been in the West Loop lately, I’m assuming it was impossible to miss the orange Louis Vuitton pop-up store on Randolph! And for the majority of you that don’t live in Chicago, Jenn shared a bit more about the space a few weeks ago, and you can read more on the Trib, too! If you haven’t seen it yet, the pop-up ended on Sunday so I’m not sure how long the building will stay painted orange…
I wanted to take advantage of bright, bold backdrop, but was having the hardest time figuring out what to wear in front of a neon orange mural. 😂 I was planning on wearing a flowy white dress, but when this red puff-sleeve number arrived the day before I was meeting Melissa to shoot, I figured why not?! Go bold or go home.
I love how the sleeves add a little bit of drama, but the length is long enough for most work settings. If you styled it right, it could be a cute wedding guest option, too!
I got this pearl hair clip back in April ($7 for the set on Amazon!) and finally figured out how to wear it a few weeks ago… I’ve seen so many ladies on Instagram wear them closer to their face and it looks so cute on them, but I just couldn’t take myself seriously with a giant pearl barrette that close to my hairline.
After playing around with it for entirely too long, I finally figured out the trick…
I was trying to use the clip on the side of my part with less hair, which is why the clip looked way too big. But if I pin it on the side of my part that has more hair, and pin it back further from my face, it actually looks cute. I hope that makes sense!
For you girls that rock a part right down the middle, I have no idea what to tell you. 😂🤷🏼♀️
PS: These are the shoes! Back in February or March, an Instagram follower had found these nude ankle strap heels of mine marked down 60% on Macy’s in some crazy sale. I shared about it on my IG Stories even though it was midnight on a Saturday and I was dyingggggg at some of the DMs I was getting… Multiple ladies sneaking out of bed to order the shoes in the middle of the night, husbands thinking there was fraud on the credit card the next day, it was a riot.
It really was a deal too good to pass up, though… I even ordered myself a new pair because mine looked disgusting after two years of wear. They are the perfect height for wearing all day or night… I’ve now worn them as a bridesmaid in three different weddings, and have worn them as a wedding guest countless times, too. (Plus, the heel is thick enough to wear in the grass!) The color goes with everything and they truly are so comfortable without looking like kitten heels. I’ve gotten a ton of happy messages from ladies that ordered them during that sale and have been wearing them this summer, so don’t just take my word for it.
There aren’t that many sizes left, but Macy’s currently has them marked down 52%. You can also find them on Amazon (some sizes are on sale!) and at Bloomies, too.

JESS, I AM SO HERE FOR THIS CONTENT. IT NEEDS LIKE 6 PHOTOS ON YOUR IG. THIS IS SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL!! XO
That’s a gorgeous dress! And I think it looks amazing with the bright orange wall. The barrette looks super cute and I think for women that do a middle part, it could look cute if they put two, one on each side, but maybe go for smaller ones as to not seem overpowering.
Love this red dress on you! Red is such a fun color to wear, and it’s perfect with neutral accessories.
