You guys, Week 26 — we are halfway through the year. Not sure how the heck that happened so quickly! Time flies when you’re having fun, I suppose. As much as I hate to use the b-word, it’s been a busy year so far. My goal is to slow down a little bit when I can over the next month or two to savor the season.
This week went by in a flash, and that’s been a common theme the last few weeks. Everyone is so much more social in the summer, which is amazing, but coupled with an uptick in work events, I really haven’t had much me time lately… And I think that’s why it always seems like, “Wait, where did the week go?!” Working for myself is absolutely amazing a lot of times, but it’s hard to slow down and check-in with yourself when you’re going a mile a minute trying to get everything done!
The theme of this week (other than running around like a chicken with my head cut off) was fun shoots with my photographer! We got to do a cool shoot at AIRE, Happy Place, and even got to preview Yayoi Kusama’s new Infinity Mirrors installation that will be opening in Chicago later this summer. I’ll let you know when tickets are on sale for the Kusama exhibit, but you should definitely check out Happy Place before then!
I’m currently writing this post from 30,000 feet, as I’m heading to a bachelorette party in Austin for the weekend. Quick trip this time around… I’ll be back home on Sunday! Have a wonderful weekend, my friends. And pray for me that I don’t melt in Texas! xoxo jrs
