I’ll be sharing lots more about our Australia itinerary, what we did, where we stayed, and our favorite places to shop and eat, but today — here’s pretty much every outfit I wore in Australia! (I went to Australia in February when it was summer in the southern hemisphere!) I mixed and matched a lot of pieces and re-wore a lot of things, too. There are a few instances where I didn’t get a snap of my outfit, but everything revolved around the pieces you see here. Hope this helps if you’ve got some travel coming up or want to get a headstart on your shopping for the season.
What I Wore to Travel
On long-haul flights, I always switch into leggings, thick socks, and a comfy sweater on top. But here’s what I wore to the airport in LAX and the airport in Sydney on the way home.
What I Wore in Melbourne
Melbourne was the most metropolitan place we visited in Australia! (Sydney, too, but Melbourne had more of a city vibe in my opinion!) I kept it casual with maxi dresses during the day when we were walking around exploring different neighborhoods. They were also having a heatwave when we were in town so it was pretty hot and humid… I planned on wearing my black jeans (from the travel photo above) and white wide-leg jeans more than I did.
What I Wore: Mornington Peninsula
We took a day trip down to the Mornington Peninsula to visit a few wineries with our girlfriends and ended the evening with cliff jumping!

What I Wore in the Whitsundays
We flew from Melbourne up to the Whitsundays, which was by far our most “active” and beachy part of the trip. We took a helicopter tour over the Great Barrier Reef, did a day on a boat where we got to snorkel along the reef, and got to spend some time on the gorgeous Whitehaven Beach!

What I Wore in Byron Bay
After the Whitsundays, we made our way down to Byron Bay! It was the most relaxed place we visited, I absolutely loved it. We spent most of our time by our pool, at the beach, or lounging in these fun chairs. Besides taking these photos on the last day before we left, I didn’t touch my hair, makeup, or computer the entire time. It was GLORIOUS.
What I Wore in Sydney
Sydney was our last stop! We spent a few nights in the CBD and then stayed out in Bondi for a few nights. While staying downtown, we also made a day trip to Manly Beach!
What I Wore in Bondi Beach
Ahhh, Bondi Beach. Such a great place to round out the most incredible trip!
