Black Puffer Jacket + Glitter Sneakers

I told Hallie that this is 100% what my “soccer mom” vibe will be one day. Kinda sporty, but still kind of cool. (“I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” … name that movie!) But since I’m about a decade away from having kids (okay, hopefully not quite that long), this is what my running errands uniform currently looks like on the reg. Ever since I fractured my ankle last winter, I’ve been living in sneakers pretty much ever since. I love dressing up, don’t get me wrong, but if I’m just running around and can get away with wearing sneakers, you betcha I’ve got one of my many pairs on. (Can’t stop, won’t stop buying sneakers lately… It’s kind of a problem.)

It’s hard to play favorites, but this water-resistant quilted biker jacket might just be my favorite Barbour jacket to date. It’s SO lightweight, but still so warm… it will be great for travel! And the exaggerated collar and asymmetrical zipper? Obsessed. It’s so chic for being a puffer jacket, isn’t it? Sporty, but still so cool… Right up my alley for those “off duty” looks. In the fall, it was my go-to for going to-and-from workouts, too. (It also comes in a longer length!) And on those random “warm” 40-something degree days, I’ve been able to swear it with a sweater or sweatshirt underneath and have been warm!

Definitely not a coat for the cold Chicago tundra, but it definitely keeps me warm if it’s somewhere in the 40’s or above!

A quick little note about these sneakers… I bought my other pair (the navy leather and multi-colored glitter) at a store in Montauk a few years ago. The shop owner told me that the brand had actually gone out of business, but she still had a few pairs left. I thought they were so fun, especially because I graduated from high school in 2007. I wore them on Instagram Stories back in September and when someone asked for a link, I said “Sorry, brand is Kim & Zozi, but they are no longer around!” Lo and behold, she found them on Amazon! And they’re on sale too! If you’re not into the high-tops look, there’s this pair of regular sneakers (available in black and silver) and I love both pairs. (Surprised I haven’t bought them yet, tbh.) As for sizing, I’m normally an 8.5 and I have an 8 in these… They’re only available in full sizes, so I would size down if you’re in between!
