Alright guys, can’t say that I’ve ever done this type of post before, but hopefully it’s helpful! I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in-store and thought I’d share some of my favorites with a few notes about each just in case things start to sell out before I’m able to photograph my outfits and post them here on the blog. There’s a whole lot of mirror selfies so consider yourself warned! (And as you might be able to tell, some were during the day and others were post SoulCycle so I’m looking a bit ratchet, haha!)
Also, a little bit of a side note: I’ve had people message me in distress because things are already selling out in popular colors and sizes. It’s never a guarantee, but usually Nordstrom does reserve a little bit of inventory for when public access to the sale starts! So don’t hold me to it, but just cross your fingers and be ready to shop next Friday when the sale opens up to everyone. (As we’ve discussed, the week of Early Access is just for card holders.)
Another update for all of you cardholders… You may have noticed how the Nordstrom website basically crashed yesterday. I added a bunch of stuff to my cart and then went to checkout and it was gone, which was obviously super annoying. But I just found out that Nordstrom is offering 10x reward points for all orders placed today!!! This is effing huge, you guys. Usually we only get a few triple point days and maybe one 10x point day around the holidays. Definitely take advantage and place your orders TODAY if there is anything you’ve got your eye on and haven’t pulled the trigger on yet! Rake in those Nordstrom Notes!
And I quote… “A Nordstrom spokeswoman added Thursday that the company is offering its Nordstrom credit and debit cardholders 10 points per dollar spent on anniversary sale purchases made on July 13 and 14, in recognition of the “inconvenience they may have experienced.” (Usually, Nordstrom credit and debit cardholders get two points per dollar spent. Once customers accumulate 2,000 points, they get a $20 Nordstrom Note to spend on anything at Nordstrom stores.)”
Okay, let’s get shopping…
Scalloped Sweater $39.90 (regularly $59) | Bought this sweater! Wearing a Small, comes in seven colors. Great for work or weekend!
rag & bone Raw Hem Skinny Jeans $131.90 (regularly $198) | Super stretchy, I’m normally a 27 in jeans and I got a 26! A really great high waist.
Floral Wrap Midi Dress $49.90 (regularly $75) | Wearing a Medium! The Small fit, too, but I went with a size up to layer with turtlenecks and tights this winter. Plus, I like how it’s a bit loose and a little bit sexier on top for summer!
Lace Midi Dress $56.90 (regularly $85) | This dress might look familiar from this post last year! The style is identical, but the color this year is a little bit darker. I have a Medium in last year’s dress and it’s always been a little bit big, so I re-bought the Small this year and am going to wear it to a wedding next weekend!
All of this came home with me…
Suede Moto Jacket | Suede Skirt | Floral Blouse | Lace Dress | Wide-Leg Trousers
Bell Sleeve Sweater $49.90 (regularly $79) | This sweater is insanely soft and comes in three great color combinations! Naturally, I bought the navy and white one, too.
Black Raw Hem Skinny Jeans $89.90 (regularly $135) | True to size! Wearing a 27 and they fit like a glove. Great high waist.
Deep V Bodysuit $38.90 (regularly $59) | One of the few bodysuits in the sale! I love how this one is a little bit different from a basic black bodysuit… Deep V, choker detail, ribbed, and a side-tie, too. Made for going out! In fact, this outfit (bodysuit + suede skirt) will be on repeat this fall on Friday and Saturday nights.
Suede Mini Skirt $64.90 (regularly $98) | I bought the gorgeous wine color, but it also comes in a fab cognac color! They both look so much more expensive than they are. (I already have a cognac suede skirt, but I’m still so tempted to get this one because it’s more simple than mine that has buttons on the front.) For sizing, I bought my regular jean size (27), but it literally has no stretch at all since it’s real leather. It’s pretty mini so if you want a little bit more coverage and wiggle room, I’d maybe suggest going a size up.
(PS: Sorry for the smudge on the mirror in these photos, I didn’t realize it until I got home and looked through the photos or else I would have literally cleaned the mirror on Nordstrom’s behalf, ha.)
Suede Moto Jacket $125.90 (regularly $188) | YOU GUYS! This suede moto jacket, omg. I AM OBSESSED. It looks like an $800 jacket, without a doubt. It’s real leather, too. I tried on all three colors and only let myself buy one (this cognac color), but I *really* believe that I need the red one for Chicago sporting events (Bulls, Blackhawks, & Cubs games) and the grey is just so versatile, too. Ugh, I’m just so in love with it. I’m wearing a Medium and will have room for sweaters and such underneath!
Raw Step Hem Jeans $131.90 (regularly $218) | I have long legs for my height and most jeans usually hit at the right spot for me, without any hemming. (#blessed) Online on the model, these jeans look super cropped (which is hard to transition into fall and winter), but they’re actually the perfect length in real life. Absolutely love the lighter wash and the cool hem! Photo below is to show the mid rise that’s nice and high. They are *super* stretchy so I would potentially size down if you’re worried about them stretching out.
Floral Bell Sleeve Blouse $49.90 (regularly $75) | This blouse is so good! Since I’ve brought it home, I’ve styled it with white jeans, grey jeans, black jeans, and it looks so cute with this plum-colored skirt, too. Since it’s just three colors (well, four if you count white), its so easy to mix and match with. Looks good with grey heels, my green crossbody, a metallic clutch, booties, etc. It’s sheer so if you’re not comfortable just wearing a bra, bandeau, or lacy bralette underneath, a cami will be necessary. It fits so well and it’s a lot longer in the back, which is actually perfect for white jeans or leggings! I’m wearing a small.
Bell Sleeve Tee $39.90 (regularly $59) | THIS TOP IS THE SOFTEST MATERIAL I’VE EVER TRIED ON. Honestly, it feels like the coziest fleece! It comes in six colors that are great for fall. The bell sleeves dress up what would ordinarily be a basic crewneck tee. I’m wearing a small!
Asymmetrical Cashmere Blend Sweater $99.90 (regularly $149) | I could not pass this one up! The asymmetrical hem is a bit unique and it’s the softest cashmere. It also comes in olive green and oatmeal. This will be on repeat this fall and winter! There wasn’t a Small to try on when I was in store so I just tried the XS and it actually fit. So I’d size down if you’re in between!
Grey Skinny Jeans $131.90 (regularly $199) | THESE JEANS! They are the perfect, perfect grey jeans. I have two pairs of grey jeans already, but I was still so tempted to get these. The fit is unbelievable! If you’re still on the fence about grey jeans, just trust me and give these a try. They’re so versatile and such a great way to break the mold from your everyday blue or black denim.
Black Ruffled Top $54.90 (regularly $69) | This top is a fave! It’s pretty big and boxy, but it’s so perfect for the office. Back when I used to work in a corporate setting, I *lived* for these comfortable tops that weren’t too plain for those days when I just didn’t have time to put together an exciting outfit. Since it’s voluminous, pair it with a slim pant or skinny leg on the bottom! It also comes in grey/white and a blue/striped version, which I also picked up and you can see below! I got a small and could probably even go down to an XS. I wouldn’t call the top ‘scuba’ necessarily, but it’s a heavier-weight stretchy knit and it’s awesome.
Black Raw Hem Skinny Jeans $131.90 (regularly $199) | THE BLACK JEANS OF ALL BLACK JEANS. Couldn’t help that I already have a few pairs of black jeans, I had to have these. (In my defense, all of my best black jeans have rips in them so that’s how I justified these). The fit is impeccable and I am *obsessed* with the unique hem. Runs TTS, I’m wearing a 27.
Cashmere Camel Cardigan $149.90 (regularly $229) | The Anniversary Sale cardigan game is STRONG this year. Since we’ve talked *in depth* about camel cardigans here on the blog, I knew I had to share this one. It’s 100% cashmere, has the perfect draping, and is such a good long length. The camel color is honestly the most perfect shade, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It also comes in black and light grey and you can’t go wrong with any of them. I’m wearing a small.
Same soft grey tee as a few outfits back!
Black Ripped Skinny Jeans with Raw Hem $89.90 (regularly $135) | The fit on these is also phenomenal! Such a good high-waist. Like I mentioned, I have a few pairs of ripped black jeans already so I did not take these home, but if you’re in the marked, be sure to scoop them up.
Cashmere Side-Tie Sweater $89.90 (regularly $129) | Absolutely could not resist this sweater! It’s 100% cashmere at such a good price, and the side-tie detail is lovely. I have them tied in little bows, but you can also just gently knot them and leave them long. Both look good! You can wear it as it, or even layer a long crisp white shirt underneath. It’s available in EIGHT great colors. I’m actually wearing an XS so I’d say that it runs big!
Same step hem jeans as a few outfits back!
Back at it with the asymmetrical sweater and my favorite black jeans!
Here’s a look at that ruffled top in the navy and stripe combo!
Plaid Skirt $45.90 (regularly $69) | Such a great length for work, but obviously super cute dressed down with a tee, too! Wear with sneakers, flats, booties, you name it. Would be super cute with an oversized fisherman sweater this fall! Please note that this runs BIG!! I got a 2. Would look super cute with this bow neck shirt!
Tee details are below!
An up-close of the ribbed texture of the asymmetrical sweater!
rag & bone Dre jeans $149.90 (regularly $225) | The Dre jeans are some of my favorites, I have a few pairs of them! I love the wash, raw hem, and cuffed detail on these. I’m wearing my normal size.
Tee details are below!
Pardon My French Tee $25.90 (regularly $40) | No words necessary, a must have!! I got a medium for a loose boyfriend fit, but your normal size would be more fitted.
Another few looks at the graphic tee, plaid skirt, and boyfriend jeans. Honestly, three of my favorite purchases from the sale!
Striped Shirt with Cuff Sleeves $36.90 (regularly $49.50) | While I need another striped shirt like a hole in the head, this one with the built-in cuff sleeves is so great! Gotta love the layered look without the bulk. It’s a little bit boxy and also available in black with a blue stripe cuff! I’m wearing a small.
Raw Hem Ripped Jeans $89.90 (regularly $135) | Same as the black ripped jeans above. The fit is AMAZING! These definitely came home with me… I love how the rips are super subtle and the raw hem, too. True to size.
Ribbed Striped Crop Top $25.90 (regularly $40) | This stripe sweater tank is really fun. I didn’t end up buying it, but it looks great with these high-waisted trouser pants. I’m wearing a US 4.
Pant details below!
Black Reflected Sunglasses $36.90 (regularly $55) | The black and pink/purple are such a fun color combo and you can’t beat the price!
Blush Pink Mirrored Sunglasses $35.90 (regularly $55) | I bought these because they’re cheap and super cute for summer! Love how they look with the lavender color in the top. Available in 3 colors!
Black High-Waisted Wide Leg Trousers $45.90 (regularly $69) | I took these to the dressing room not sure how I would feel, but I AM OBSESSED. Such a fashion-forward option for work! Wear them with a tee, a cute little crop top, or even with a fitted sweater tucked in. Super cute with flats or heels. I styled them two ways and those outfits will be on the blog next week! I’m wearing a medium.
Another look at the high-rise of those $89 skinnies from above! They fit like a glove. (TTS!)
Slouchy Oversized Cardigan $64.90 (regularly $98) | Allllll of the yes for this grandpa cardi. So comfy! Also comes in maroon and navy and I want all three colors. And, hello, pockets! It’s really big, I’m wearing a Small and could probably go down to a XS.
I have it styled with this slip dress for a little something different, but it would be even more cute with a tee, jeans, and boots!
Silk Slip Dress $52.90 (regularly $79) | Cannot say enough good things about this dress! The blush color is GORGEOUS. It needs steamed in these photos, but it’s such a beautiful piece. I’m wearing a small and it’s still super roomy, could probably have gone down to a XS, but didn’t want it to be too tight in the hips. I think the cami slip dresses look best a little bit oversized, anyway! Has a slit on just one side.
Off the Shoulder Layered Top $58.90 (regularly $89) | I love the look of this top because it’s super unexpected! It also comes in black/white and burgundy/white. I’m wearing a small and the shirt flares perfect over my hips without being too tight or too baggy.
Striped Pleated Peplum Top $45.90 (regularly $69) | Obsessed with this black and white pleated peplum! It’s also available in a plain navy with a striped peplum, which I think I may pick up now online. It’s a heavier weight and so cute for work. Another one of those tops where it brings a bit of added interest without having to try! Wearing a Small.
Striped Jumpsuit $42.90 (regularly $65) | This striped jumpsuit is super fun! The back is pretty much open, but you could definitely toss on a jacket for work. (Or even the cognac moto jacket!) The wide legs actually have side slits that make it flow like a dress when you’re wearing it. It runs a little big considering it’s a juniors brand. I’m wearing a small!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Shoes
Ahhhh the shoes! SO MANY GOOD SHOES. Here are my favorite styles…
Studded Boots $199.90 (regularly $299) | I’m not normally a stud girl, but I am seriouslsy OBSESSED with these!! Perfect with black jeans, grey jeans, white jeans, blue jeans, and even skirts and dresses.
Velvet Embroidered Boots $86.90 (regularly $129.95) | Can’t say enough good things about these! Wear them with a plain outfit to spice things up, or even with a dress. I think they are *so* fun and very affordable, too. (There’s a similar Stuart Weitzman brocade pair in the sale for $360 and I actually like these better.)
Velvet Printed Booties $79.90 (regularly $119.95) | I don’t love the look of these online, but I do in store! Great for dressing up a skirt and dress or even just jeans.
Adidas Tubular Sneakers $74.90 (regularly $99.95) | Couldn’t buy these fast enough! They are *perfect*!
The loafer selection is seriously on-point!! Can I just have this whole table please?! I bought these, these, and these!
Leopard Loafers $59.90 (regularly $89.95) | The pointed toe is perfect and these look WAY more expensive than they are! I normally wear an 8.5, but I got these in a 9. Size up a half size! The 8.5 fit, but I thought my heel was a little too close to the back.
Black, Nude, and Silver Loafers $59.90 (regularly $89.95) | I have the black and the nude in my shopping cart currently. I love how minimalist they are and I know I would wear them alllllll year long.
Velvet Embellished Loafers $59.90 (regularly $89.95) | I went with the greyish-blue bee pair, but I am still lusting over the blush pink floral embroidered pair. They’re just so fun and so affordable. They definitely give me some Gucci vibes, which is always a good thing! These run true to size, even compared to other shoes by the same brand in the sale! I got my regular size, 8.5.
Pearl Embellished Loafers $59.90 (regularly $89.95) | I’ve been so into the pearl shoe trend for a while, and finally had to pull the trigger on these! They run VERY small though. Definitely size up at least a half size. I’m wearing a 9!
Heeled Ankle Booties $86.90 (regularly $129.95) | I think these are my favorite ankle booties in the sale! I have a pair of identical boots from last year (or maybe two years ago) and I’m still obsessed with them. No matter if you wear them with jeans, tights, or a dress, they’re so chic. So easy to dress up or down! They heel height is on the higher side, but I can wear them all night for a night out and it’s totally fine. My pair is black and I’m a) strongly considering getting a replacement since mine have seen better days and b) also really thinking I need the metallic pair because they’re just so fun. (You can see them on the blog here & here!) For sizing, I’m usually an 8.5, but I went up to a 9 in these because I’ll want room for thick socks in the winter months.
Black Chelsea Booties $124.90 ($188.95) | I have these ankle booties from last year and I was so excited to see them in the sale! I wore them all fall and winter long.. So comfy and great quality! (You can see them styled on the blog here! Really surprised they only made it on the blog once for how often I wear them. I usually wear them with more casual everyday outfits that I don’t get to shoot, so that’s probably why.)
Suede Sneakers $59.90 (regularly $889.95) | I can’t even decide which color I live the best. All three are great for so many different purposes! Love, love, love. Sizing Note: I think these run a little snug. I’m usually an 8.5 and had to get a 9 if I wanted to wear a no-show sock. The 8.5 fit but was just a little too tight near the toe.
Gemstone Loafers $169.90 (regularly $278) | The blush pink color is so pretty and I love how the gemstone detail is so unexpected. Such a great price for Kate Spade shoes!
Quilted Sneakers $99.90 (regularly $159.95) | Super fun! The quilted detail dresses them up a little bit more than a plain pair.
Nike Air Max Theas $85.90 (regularly $115) | I got these in January and absolutely LOVE them! I have them in rose gold, too. I highly recommend picking up a pair! Great for training, wearing to and from workout classes, or running errands.
Leather Woven Booties $159.90 (regularly $250) | Cole Haan boots are known for comfort! With the block heel and just-right heel height, you know you can walk in these all day. I love the woven detail at the back!
Over-the-Knee Boots $86.90 (regularly $129.95) | Um, you can’t beat this price for a pair of OTK boots! I have an identical pair from years past and they’re easily my most worn boots in the fall and winter. Must, must, must.
Ugg Weatherproof Boots $109.90 (regularly $169.95) | I have these from last winter and they’re the best! Warm and not too bulky. Highly recommend getting a pair now and saving the last-minute scramble when the weather goes from nice to snowy overnight.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outerwear
The best time to get your winter coats is during the Anniversary Sale! You’ll end up saving yourself a lot of money.
Quilted Barbour Jacket $165.90 (regularly $249) | I have two that are both very similar to this and love it! (See this post, this post, and this post.) Can’t go wrong with Barbour and this weight is perfect for spring and fall. Plus, it has a hood! It’s available in navy, black, and red. And there’s a classic waxed cotton style on sale, too!
Moto Jacket $125.90 (regularly $188) | The suede jacket again, guys! I can’t get enough. Earlier I forgot to mention that it’s also available in a smooth leather and an embroidered version, too!
Faux Leather Moto Jacket $64.90 (regularly $98) | Available in black and green! (Also available on this product page in blush pink and a muddy grey.)
Metallic Faux Leather Moto Jacket $85.90 (regularly $129) | So fun to spice up a monochromatic winter outfit!
Embroidered Leather Jacket $111.90 (regularly $168) | So dang cute!
Burberry Quilted Jacket $499.90 (regularly $795) | Available in black, blue, and green. Enough said!!!
Trina Trunk Asymmetrical Navy & Black Coat $329.90 (regularly $495) | I tried to try this on in-store and my size was already sold out. But I absolutely love the color combination and it looks like it would be a super flattering fit!
Striped Cardigan $56.90 (regularly$85) | This was the last thing I tried on in the store and I really loved it, but I was trying to practice some self discipline considering so much damage had already been done. Welp, it’s now sold out and I really regret not buying it. Crossing my fingers for a re-stock! I love how sporty it is and you can’t beat the combo of camel, black, and white. Runs big, I tried on a 4.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty
The beauty buys in this year’s sale are SO GOOD! I don’t remember them being this good in years past. Great time to stock up!
La Mer Set $330 ($492 value) | I have the moisture cream and the micellar water (see my beauty cabinet here!), but I’ve been dying to try the renewal oil, mask, and the eye concentrate. This is obviously a splurge, but a great way to try out the products. If you’re new to La Mer, I’d recommend the Mini Miracles set for $85 to try it out!
Le Labo Santal 33 Collection $95 | It’s their most well-know fragrance and kits like this are hard to find. Love the bag, too! So perfect for a gift, a guest bedroom, or just a little luxury while traveling.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Mini Set $75 ($135 value) | I have the Magic Eye Cream and I’m obsessed with it… It’s, by far, my most hydrating eye cream and it brightens, too! This set comes with a full size eye cream, as well as a travel size of the magic day cream and magic night cream. I’ve had the magic day cream used on me during a shoot and it was so luxurious, I definitely want to buy it sometime soon! This is a great way to try it. (A little bit of history for ya: Charlotte used to make this ‘magic’ cream to use on her celebrity clients and finally after so many people would ask what it was and where they could buy it, she decided to produce it!)
Diptyque Candle Set $55 ($75 value) | These are my favorite candles and they never go on sale! I actually have the full-size versions of all five of these scents at different spots in my apartment. This would make for a perfect gift! (Stock up now for Christmas, if you’re so inclined.)
t3 Blowdryer $134 ($200 value) | You guysssssss! My favorite blowdryer is in the sale. I friggen swear by this thing and it truly is *so* lightweight! I have the white and rose gold one, but the black and rose gold is super sleek, too.
Elemis Pro Colagen Cream $172 ($256 value) | I just got this moisturizer a month or two ago and I really love it! One jar is usually $128 so this is a great deal for something that doesn’t go on sale.
Kiehl’s ‘Ultra’ Skincare Favorites $69 ($102 value) | The Ultra collection at Kiehl’s is one of my favorites because it works for pretty much every skin type! If I need a travel size of something that my regular product doesn’t come in, I always opt for the Kiehl’s Ultra. (Cleanser, moisturizer, toner, etc.) This set is especially amazing because it has my beloved avocado eye cream in it, too!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Accessories
Accessories weren’t as good as them have been in the past, in my opinion. But there are a few items that I definitely recommend picking up!
Rebecca Minkoff Olive Green Suede Crossbody $149.90 (regularly $225) | This bag is so dang cute for fall! Perfect size for the weekend or for going out.
Textured Cashmere Wraps $125.90 (regularly $189) | I have a camel one and a grey one from a few years back and they’ve held up so well. Bought the black one in the store the other day because you can never go wrong with black! You can wear it as a scarf, as a wrap, or even a blanket for traveling.
Hanky Panky Underwear $14.90 (regularly $20) | This might be TMI, but these are the only underwear I wear. They never go on sale except for the Anniversary Sale, so I STOCK UP. Meaning, I bought 20 pairs. Yes, twenty. I pretty much just do an overhaul of my underwear drawer once a year in July!
Le Specs Prince Aviator Sunglasses $58.90 (regularly $89) | I have these in black and I’m obsessed. Had to get this light gold mirrored pair, too!
No-Show Socks $8.90-$15.90 | Random AF, but I always stock up on no-show socks during the sale, too. It’s a great time to invest in new fall pieces, but it’s also my time for stocking up on these basics that are annoying to pay full price for. Nike and Zella are my favorites!
Anniversary is always a good time to get a watch if you need one, too! Here are two that I loved…
Tory Burch Navy Leather Wrap Watch $196.90 (regularly $295)
Tory Burch Classic Silver & Gold Watch $329.90 (regularly $495)
Let me know what you find and/or end up getting! xo

This post was great! I already put a big order in on Friday but I’ve put a lot of these items in my ‘save for later’ bag that I’ll probably decide on this week! So weird to be so excited about fall items, especially in Chicago!
xo,
Taylor
Love this post!! Super helpful. I just bought the Current Elliot jeans because they looked so cute on you.
Hi love!
I really enjoyed your post! I was wondering how the Topshop cropped sweater fit? I’m 5’5 118 lbs and wasn’t sure what size to get? I know Topshop can have weird sizing sometimes! Thanks 🙂
This was so helpful!! Thank you very much for doing it. Just bought the bell sleeve tee cause you looked so adorable in it and it looked very comfy. 🙂
