It’s that weird in-between right now… It feels like fall in the morning, but in the afternoon you’re sweating profusely. You want to wear fall clothes, but it’s still in the 70’s and you’re just not sure what to do. Enter, the slightly-flared swing dress!
I paired this swingy dress with a felt floppy hat and suede pointed-toe flats for a look that kind of feels like fall, but didn’t leave me sweating through my clothes. If your office is on the chillier side or your commute in the morning is a bit brisk, toss on a blazer or a denim jacket.
I can’t wait to wear this dress with a turtleneck, tights, and booties when it actually feels like fall all day, but for now, I’m going to embrace bare-leg season for as long as I can! I know we’ve got a long road ahead when it comes to winter in Chicago so I’ll take the 70’s any day of the week.
I love the subtle cityscape sketch on this J.McLaughlin dress. Feels a teeny bit European and makes me want to hop on the next plane to France or Italy! Oh, and the dress has pockets… What’s not to love?
