I’m bACK 😉

Took an accidental little Instagram hiatus for the better part of the last two months… 😬 But the dust is finally settling a bit and I'm getting into my new groove!

😅 But WHEW, you guys. I feel like I can’t adequately explain the last few months... Summertime is always go-go-go with an increase in plans and lack of routine, especially in Chicago because you've only got a few months to make it count! #summertimeCHI But then add in buying a condo with a six-week close, helping your boyfriend sell his, moving out of your apartment, helping your boyfriend move out of his, moving in together, combining two *opinionated* adult's things under one roof, learning to live together, organizing, planning your boyfriend's 40th birthday, figuring out your home decor, ordering new furniture, getting rid of old furniture (god bless @digswithdignity), daily trips to Home Depot, countless service appointments, trying to keep the plants alive and dog happy, all while trying to explore our new 'hood, soak up the season on our rooftop, hosting friends and family, wedding weekends, existing travel plans... I pretty much blinked and three months went by.

🚨 Denim Trend You’re Going to Want to Try! 👖

Barrel pants, balloon jeans, this style of pant has a bunch of different names. Essentially, they’re a wider leg denim that tapers in at the ankle, creating a slightly curved silhouette. No matter the name, they're a major win from me... They're wide-leg enough to be comfy and on-trend, but they still give you a bit of a *tailored* look. And dare I say actually flattering?!

It's kind of like, "Yes, youth, we see you and we aren't totally out of touch, but (respectively) we're not going to repeat the grunge thing we did in middle school and high school."
