What to Buy in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

At first glance… I’m underwhelmed. I poured through all 78 pages of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale products and saved my favorites to share with you, but there’s not that much that feels super special. It seems as if most of the standout pieces from the catalog have unfortunately already sold out. I was pretty excited when I first started looking, but then three of the things I added to my cart sold out before I could buy them (these sneakers, this sports bra, and this striped top) and it all just seemed a little lackluster after that.

When it comes to fashion, it feels like they just keep producing iterations of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale best-sellers from years past. Nothing seems new, not much seems exciting. If you need a re-stock on some basics, it could be a good time to buy what you need and save a few bucks.

There were a handful of good beauty deals, but I suppose I was expecting more? Grab the jumbo size at a discount if some of your daily favorites are on sale.

In terms of the men’s section, I only saved three products for Dave. I’ll share those links below!

If your kids need some new clothes or you’ve got some baby gifts to get, you might have better luck shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The kids’ stuff seemed pretty cute! I didn’t save any of those links, but it’s a smaller collection. If you’re in the market for a new stroller, there were some popular models that I know my girlfriends have that were on sale.

What I Actually Bought in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I bought a few packs of Bombas (my favorite socks!), L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, and these Quay sunglasses.

I guess you could say I bought these sneakers in the sale, because once they sold out on me, I found them in-stock on Dick’s for only $20 more!

I bought this bra, but totally TBD on if it will work for me or not. It’s not a repeat purchase!

I also bought this jacket for a friend’s baby boy.

I really liked these Birks, but didn’t hit purchase on them until I realized I wasn’t buying very much! They’re definitely not a *need* to have, but I like them and have been wanting a pair. I love the big gold buckle!

I want to order a pair of these sneakers, but I’m still deciding which color combination will work best with my fall wardrobe!

I also got two pairs of shoes from Marc Fisher. To be transparent, they gifted me the styles, but I personally requested them! I picked these pumps and these tall boots. So excited to style them! I’m considering buying these platform booties, too.

And then I ordered this dusty blue sling bag! I’ve been wanting to try the brand for a while and the color is very versatile.

I only sent Dave a handful of links to look at for the Anniversary Sale this year! These AG jeans that I’m fairly certain he has other pairs of, these AG shorts, these New Balance sneakers (told him they were a MUST!), and this tee. He already has a few of these Goodlife tees (seen here and here), but I’m not sure that I love the scalloped bottom hem. He does though! A few other finds that I like from the Men’s section… This Faherty polo, these Ray-Bans, this Faherty hoodie, these Adidas sneakers, these New Balance sneakers, this Marine Layer pullover (Dave already has this!), this Faherty shirt jacket, and these Frame jeans.
