Oh man, you guys. Shooting outfit photos has been a real b*tch lately. The struggle has been so real.
It was -10 degrees when we were snapping these pictures… A really great way to start the morning! Kind of like taking an ice bath, I would assume. Taking photos in windy conditions is my biggest pet peeve… My dresses, skirts, and tops blow around in the most unflattering of ways and my hair never cooperates. This icy -10 degree wind, though, was the most brutal I’ve ever felt and had me feeling like I was back in Chicago.. But maybe even worse!
It was one of those days where we got a whole heck of a lot more outtakes than useable photos.
It’s kind of ironic that we shot these photos in front of REI in Soho. The most un-outdoorsy girl who, apparently, cannot deal with the elements. Speaking of outdoorsy, have you heard the following phrase? “I’m outdoorsy in that I like getting drunk on patios.” Yep, that’s me. And I’m ready for alfresco happy hours any time now!
I wore this outfit last Friday for Day #2 of NYFW. From Kate Spade, to Nicole Miller, to Charlotte Ronson, to Cynthia Rowley, I felt like a princess all day wearing this Cynthia Rowley party dress, leopard coat, and Kate Spade bow pumps. The shape of this dress is SO fun (it’s sleeveless with a fit-and-flare cupcake shape) and I wish I could have showed it off more, but you know, the tundra that is NYC.
You may be wondering if I got a cat… Nope. I did, however, get a new off-white wool rug that has the tendency to latch on to all of my black jeans, and especially my black tights, when I’m getting ready in the morning!

I feel your pain even more – it’s -32C here in Winnipeg and is dropping down to -40C tonight. Looking cute is not even a possibility in this weather – survival is key! Love the coat and the sparkly bow pumps!! Wish I could wear something like that today!!
I feel your pain, it is currently below zero here too. I hate it but you look fabulous as always 🙂

Hahaha I do not know how you do it. During this awful polar vortex, I basically give up any attempt of even trying to look cute. You on the other hand look adorable.
