You guys will never believe where I found this pleated leopard print skirt… And it’s currently marked down to $30! As I’m sure you know, not all animal prints are created equal… I usually find that inexpensive pieces tend to look cheap when it comes to leopard print, but I think this one is definitely the exception!
I love how this leopard print has just three colors; brown, black, and cream. Typically, most leopard prints have some camel hues mixed in, and that is usually where things go awry on the inexpensive side. (And of course the size and shape of the spots, but that’s a different story altogether… )
I don’t know why, but I feel like you can tell the quality of a piece based on the shade of camel it is… Call me crazy, but pay attention next time you’re shopping. Cheaper camel colors tend to have a weird greenish/yellow tint, where more expensive fabrics have some warmer, orange-ish undertones. Finding the right shade of camel makes all the difference!
But since this skirt omits camel all together, you really can’t tell that how inexpensive it really is. And with just three classic colors, it’s so easy to wear! Just pair it with a sleek black top or a chunky cream sweater and you’ve got yourself an outfit. I’ve even worn a jean jacket over the top to give it more of a casual vibe! And if it’s chilly, throw on a pair of black tights for an added layer of warmth. I know I’ll be wearing for months to come!
