Happy Friday, friends! Let’s catch up, shall we? I feel like I blinked and an entire month has passed without even realizing it. I guess that’s kind of how summer always goes, but it’s felt like the pedal has been pressed to the metal even more so lately! I knew I was going to be spreading myself a little bit thin with Lollapalooza one weekend and then my Remote Year group’s reunion happening the very next weekend. It’s so crazy to think that we left for our adventure almost one year ago to the day, and it was so, so fun to have a lot of our group together in Chicago this past weekend! But those two weekends in a row were a wee bit exhausting. On top of that, I’ve had multiple friends staying with me, other friends visiting, lots of personal things going on, baby showers, birthday parties, you name it… It’s been kind of insane!
Thankfully, I’ve had a few days to rest and recharge this week, and they’ve been very much needed, loved, and appreciated. And thankfully, I’m starting to feel a little bit more like myself instead of a robot running around from place to place!
This weekend, my old boss from New York and his daughter are coming in town and I’m so looking forward to it. Catching up with them always feels more like a heart-warming weekend with family (you know, family that you actually enjoy, haha), which couldn’t be coming at a better time for me. On Saturday night, I have a birthday party for two of my girlfriends, and then on Sunday, I’m flying out for the entire week for a work project that I can’t wait to share more about!
