What to Wear to a Fall Wedding

I still can’t believe we’re holding on to such warm temperatures when October is less than a week away! You’ll never catch me complaining about getting to spend the weekend on a boat in late September, that’s for sure. I will say, though, getting dressed has been a little bit of a challenge. I’m ready to retire a lot of my summer clothes and it’s way too hot to wear most of my new pieces for fall, but I just keep telling myself, “Enjoy this while it lasts. You’ll be begging for warm weather come February.”

I wore this pink lace midi dress to a wedding in Malibu in July and was planning on re-wearing it to a wedding here in Chicago two weeks ago. (You can read the story of why I missed it here…) The dusty rose color is the perfect hue to transition into fall! I styled it with nudes and metallic accessories, but it looks just as cute paired with with cognac suede.
