When I saw this colorful gingham-like dress with a bow-tie neckline, I couldn’t say no! Lately I’ve been really into halter-like necklines, as they tend to look the most flattering on my shoulders, so I was sold x2. With so many colors and a busy pattern of stripes & gingham, you can’t go wrong with neutral accessories, but I decided to go all out with light pink earrings, sunglasses, and a pom-pom clutch, too. Originally, I thought this would be a fun dress to wear to Lolla since it’s pretty lightweight, but the weather was *so* unpredictable that I ended up wearing a sweater and boyfriend jeans because it was 62 degrees on the second day of the festival. Chicago weather, man.
Instead, I wore it out for a working lunch date at Colectivo Coffee in Lincoln Park! If you haven’t been yet, add it to your list. There’s a huge outdoor patio to take advantage of and the coffee (and food!) is quite delish. It’s a great spot to get sh*t done when you need to get out of the house!

This dress is so super cute! I’m really loving those espadrille sneakers too!
i love the bright dress such a elegant style.
Such a fun chic dress. I love it. Too bad Chicago weather is wacked out. NYC weather this summer has been too cool and wet for my liking. I want to wear more of cute summer dresses, blouses, skirts, shorts and sandals etc and less of jeans especially in summer. Today weather here is good. I am wearing a cute pink dress and black high heel sandals. Tomorrow rain yuck back to jeans and sneakers.
