Spring Must-Have: Ruffled One-Shoulder Top

The ruffled one-shoulder trend is a must-have for spring and summer! I found this Devlin top at Nordstrom (in both classic navy, bright white, and this fun fuchsia color!) and couldn’t be more pleased with it. And it’s such a great price for a well-made style! It’s perfect to wear with white jeans or shorts for happy hour but can be dressed up and tucked in to a skirt, too! I’ve styled the top two different ways (the color is surprisingly versatile!) to give you a few ideas on how to wear it…

The ruffled one-shoulder look is a flirty, feminine style that feels right up my alley! And it’s such a wearable trend for spring and summer, updated a bit from the off-the-shoulder pieces we’ve been buying for a while. The silhouette effortlessly ups your style… And the embroidered little pom-poms on the ruffle take it up a notch without being over-the-top. I seriously want it in all three colors! If you’re more of a dress girl, there’s a navy dress and also a pink dress with this same one-shoulder, ruffled neckline. I have both of those on my wish list, too!

The bright purple-meets-pink color pairs perfectly with the floral skirt from my clothing line last spring! When I’m styling a brighter color, I always opt for white, denim, or a pattern that picks up the hue. This dressed up outfit is perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, or even just a fancy family brunch.

An unexpected color combination that I always love is fuchsia and coral. This one-shoulder neckline looks great with statement earrings, so I pulled out a pair that I’ve had since college. And remember these loafers that I got in Mexico? They blend the two colors together seamlessly! I balanced out all of the color with crisp white denim.

A quick note about sizing… I’d size down in this top if you’re between sizes. I wasn’t sure if I would be a small or a medium, but the medium (that I’m wearing here) has a lot of extra room. I always get questions about bra options when an interesting neckline is involved… This top is super easy to wear with your regular strapless bra! The material is a bit more structured, nothing flimsy, so it’s not remotely see through. And it’s hand wash, so you can care for it at home and don’t have to worry about taking it to the dry cleaners! Win, win.
