Thereโs something about gloomy, grey weather that makes me crave color in my outfits during the winter. Whether itโs a pop of color through my coat or simply piling on the brightly colored knits, winter brights are serious mood boosters! Styling vivid colors in the cooler months can be tricky, but it doesnโt have to be. I put together two bold-hued outfits, as well as a few tips for wearing each!
When youโre wearing a printed sweater, the easiest way to inject some more color is to pick out a few shades from the pattern. In this case, I loved the hints of this citrusy neon shade in the sweater and found a matching scarf at Old Navy to play it up! With so much color on the top, itโs important to keep it neutral on the bottom. White corduroy pants are the perfect compliment! Accessories can be tough to pair, but Iโve found that metallic silver is really one of the easiest ways to balance out all of the bright hues. Iโve had these glittery flats from Kate Spade for years and the silvery glitter with fleck of pink and the magenta bow ended up being the best finishing touch! Introducing a third color in my shoes would have been way too much, but the small pop of pink works since it matches the shade of pink in the sweater.
This slightly neon sweater couldnโt be brighter, but I absolutely love it! For a sweater this bold, balancing it out with blue jeans and clean white sneakers was the easiest way to wear it. In the effort of wearing more color, I found a patterned scarf at Old Navy that picked up the same pink hue! Just like metallic shoes, mirrored silver sunnies were the easiest shades to throw on.
I wouldnโt normally recommend wearing a brightly colored lipstick in addition to all of the saturated tones, but it somehow works! I chose a shade that wasnโt too matchy and wasnโt too bold, just a little hint of color to balance it all out.
Here are a few more of my colorful favorites at Old Navy right nowโฆ. Donโt forget the entire site is 40% off this weekend! Perfect time to scoop up some winter brights for both the holidays and the gloomy days ahead come January & February. Great stocking stuffers, too!

Beautiful bright colors, and I am seriously adoring both of these looks. I also love the fact that now days we don’t need to follow the traditional dark colors of Fall/Winter when it comes to fashion.

Definitely inspired me to wear some fun fair isle tomorrow! Very much in the festive holiday mood. Great fun looks.
I love the idea of adding color to winter. Most people usually stick to black, navy blue, and or burgundy during this season but that can honestly get boring.
i am loving your sparkly shoes! xo
