How’s your weekend been?! I’ve been in my hometown all weekend with my parents, which has been wonderful, but I do wish it were on better circumstances. (My grandmother is sick, please send some happy & healthy vibes her way!) Before I left town, though, I made sure to hit up the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Retail therapy at it’s finest. When I was shopping in store, I mostly picked up things I can wear now and later… Trying on sweaters when it was 91 degrees outside just wasn’t doing it for me. I plan on ordering my cold-weather items online and trying everything on once I’m home from Italy!
I picked up this crepe blouse with a contrast collar (under $50!) and immediately knew I’d get so much use out of it! I wore it for a meeting on Friday with this a-line windowpane skirt (also under $50!), and again with a pair of white jeans and black ankle strap heels to a dinner on Thursday night. The top has a slight flutter sleeve that makes it super flattering, as well as a subtle pleat down the front that elongates the frame! It’s so easy to wear tucked in or tucked out… The options are endless with black and white!
If you missed the memo, Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale Early Access period kicked off on Thursday! It’s all new-for-fall merchandise that’s discounted first, before prices go back up to regular price. The sale is open to everyone on July 22nd, but if you’re a Nordstrom Card Holder you get early access to shop from now until then! Lots of must-have items sell out super quickly so shopping early is essential.
The shape of this skirt is so unique… I couldn’t say no for the price! I’m envisioning it with black booties (and over-the-knee boots!) this fall, black tights and heels this winter, with a light chambray shirt on top, or even with a plaid button-front shirt! Would be fun with a bright sweater, too… A poppy red or a citrusy yellow would be 👌🏼!
