There are some dresses that are perfect for parties and then there are some dresses that just make you want to party. This would be the latter! I ordered this dress when I was shopping for Vegas a few months ago and it’s been a Saturday night staple ever since. It’s one of those dresses that just makes you want to dance when you put it on. (Red dress emoji, am I right?!)
Oh and PS: If you haven’t read Hallie’s tips for partying and tricks for avoiding hangovers, you and do so here. I’d like to think we’re essentially experts, and I 100% concur with the methods we’ve tried, tested, and developed over the last few years. 😉
I am so in love with this dress! It’s completely backless, though, so it’s not for everyone. You have to be comfortable without wearing a bra! If your girls are on the non-existent side of the spectrum (like mine) and you actually love (and specifically seek out) dresses where you don’t have to wear a bra, I’d highly recommend scooping this dress up. 👌🏼
If you love the color and the pattern, but a bra is a must, the brand also makes this dress in romper form! (And it looks like the back strap would cover a strapless bra!) You can find that here, and it’s on sale, too! Oh, and another thing: the dress and the romper come in white, too (shop the white dress here and the romper here), both of which would be so fun for a bachelorette party weekend!
I can’t really decide if this dress is orange or red, so let’s just say red-orange. (Remember that crayon in Crayola’s 64 pack?! #flashbackfriday) Whichever it is, navy is my favorite color to pair with both orange and with red. For a night out in Chicago, I paired this dress with a navy blue leather clutch and my go-to lace-up suede heels. When I was in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend, I wore this dress with my nude ankle strap heels and my leopard clutch. I kept my accessories simple both times… Just a solid gold cuff. You could have fun and wear a cute pair of statement earrings, too (these turquoise tassels would be fun!), but I kept it simple and let the dress do the
For accessorizing this dress, I think nude or tan heels are probably best. In my opinion, black shoes would take the dress to a Halloween-y kind of place pretty quickly. (Zero to 100, really.) But I think you can have fun with your bag! Any shade of blue, a wicker clutch, leopard print, bright white, navy and white stripes, a classic monogram clutch (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.), any type of print that plays well with the orange-y hue… Lots of options!
