Bean Boots

Remember last winter when Bean Boots were essentially sold out everywhere? It seems silly to buy snow boots in September, but you’ll want to make sure you snag a pair now before they sell out! Plus, you’ll be prepared when a snow storm inevitably pops up in the midwest, like, next month. 😱

I already have the 6″ un-insulated pair in Tan/Brown, but I just bought the 8″ shearling-lined pair for the impending Chicago winter. I also have the Sperry ‘Saltwater’ boots in navy, that look a whole lot like Bean Boots. Here are some of my favorite color combinations for this winter:

I like 2 and 4: they are cute, comfortable and functional. I really like your outfit you paired with the skirt. 🙂

I have the 8 inch shearling lined ones and that’s the only way I’ve made it through the past 2 winters in Chicago! The extra fur really helps! I absolutely love these shoes!

I bought a pair of 6″ brown boots a few years ago when I went to visit a friend in Maine – couldn’t resist buying a pair at the flagship store! So glad I did though – who knew they would start selling out? They’re perfect with a pair of thick wool socks for a South Carolina winter.

I bought mine in August this year because I wanted to make sure that I finally snagged a pair! You for sure need them here in Chicago!

I have been considering buying these boots for a few years now. I love the way you have styled them over the last few winters, but can you honestly say living in Chicago they keep your feet warm? Do you truly wear them in the snow? Thanks!

      Hi Ashley,

I just moved to Chicago in July, so I haven’t worn them in the snow in Chicago. However, from the countless times I’ve worn them in New York in the snow (shown above), they are great snow boots. I have the un-insulated pair and always have to wear a pair of super thick socks, which is why I bought the shearling-lined pair for this coming winter in Chicago.

I ordered the #2 Raven Blue 8″ boots the last week in October. Had them the next week. Now they’re out of stock. Missed out last year, was ready this year. The Thinsulate lining is wonderful.
