As I’ve been fighting the end-of-summer blues, fall fashion is really the only thing getting me through. I’ve said it countless times… I really do love fall (I used to love it more than summer!), but I haven’t been able to let this summer go. Thank goodness for cozy sweaters, lengthy layers, comfortable jeans, and a new fall palette to lessen the heartbreak as we move into a new season.
For a good eight months out of the year, you can almost always find me in a pair of jeans. My denim collection is always growing with new fits, washes, colors, and silhouettes. I don’t know what it is, but I hate wearing pants other than jeans. For me, it’s jeans, a skirt, or a dress… Always. I can almost guarantee you can’t find a picture of me in pants on the blog since like 2013. (I’m actually determined to find a pair of pants that I like this winter, but that’s a different story.) Back to denim… When you pretty much only wear jeans, you start to collect pairs on pairs on pairs.
Whether you’re able to wear jeans in the work place (or just on Casual Friday) or your weekend uniform is built on a foundation on denim, every girl has to have a few great-fitting go-to pairs of jeans in her closet. While I have my fair share of designer denim in my wardrobe, I’ve been wearing Old Navy Mid-Rise Rockstar Jeans for years and years. You can’t beat the skinny fit! And don’t even get me started on the price… Too good to be true.
When it comes to fall layering, I’m all about the vests, scarves, and jackets. But what to do when it’s not quite cold enough for that? Toss a sweater over your shoulders! (It’s surprisingly does keep you warmer, just like a wrap!) And when you need a little extra warmth, toss it on over what you’re wearing. Win, win!
