Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access

Go ahead and put a meeting on your calendar this morning. We’ve got a lot of things to discuss and you’re going to need some time to yourself after we’re done…

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here, you guys!! Well, almost… “Early Access” starts today (7/9) and the sale opens up to everyone on July 17th. But let’s back up, shall we?

nordstrom anniversary sale

What: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Why: Compared to end of the season mark-downs, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the complete opposite. Every item in the Anniversary Sale is BRAND NEW. It’s all new-for-fall merchandise that’s discounted first, before prices go back up to regular price. New Arrivals going on sale. Crazy, right? It’s the best time to shop for your fall wardrobe! However, since it’s such an amazing sale — THINGS GO FAST! You have toย be on your A-Game to score the best pieces. Many items sell out during Anniversary before they ever go full-price!

When:ย Early Access is July 9-16, but he sale is open to everyone July 17 through August 2nd. Prices go back up to regular price on August 3rd!

Where: Typically, Early Access used to only be available to Nordstrom Card Holders in store only. And if you’ve ever shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in person, it can be a total zoo! (Think: Black Friday.) However, you can now SHOP EARLY ACCESS ONLINE! This is huge, people.

Who: Alright, here’s the catch.. Kind of. Early Access is reserved for Nordstrom Card holders only. If you’reย anything like me, you’re anti-store-credit-cards. (It’s always a resounding NO when an employee asks me if I want to save 15% for opening a credit card.) However, did you know Nordstrom has a DEBIT CARD?ย My guess would be no, as the store employees generally try to push the Credit Cards first. (I would know, I used to work there.) The Nordstrom Debit is simply a card thatโ€™s directly linked to your bank account. Looks like a credit card, but the money is debited from your account, just as it would be if you were using your debit card from your bank. It doesn’t affect your credit score at all, as there is no line of credit being issued to you. The best part? You earn the exact same amount of points that Credit Card holders do, and you get all of the same benefits and perks, too.ย It’s seriously a no-brainer!! If youโ€™re using your regular debit card in store, just link up to the Nordstrom Debit to start earning those Nordstrom Notes.ย I’ve had the Debit Card since 2011 and I love it!

Another Why: (More like a Why Not..) With the credit or debit card, you get Early Access to the Anniversary Sale (July 9-16th) and you earn double points onย all of those Early Access purchases this week. You also get double points on all Nordstrom purchases during the first two days that the sale is open to the public, July 17th-19th. I guess I should explain the points.. Typically, you earn 2 points for every dollar you spend at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and Hautelook. For every 2,000 points, you earn a $20 Nordstrom Note, which is just like Nordstrom cash. So if you’re earning double points, you get a $20 Nordstrom Note for every $500 you spend. (Random Side Note: There are even Triple Points days and a Ten Point Day around the holidays!) I’m sure Nordstrom themselves can explain the Nordstrom Rewards system better than I can, so if you’re interested just check out the website!

Here are some of the top items on my Wish List… Everything is at least 33% off!

This tri-colored Phillip Lim Pashli Tote is so perfect for fall.. You can wear it with everything!! (Love this mini one, too!)

This lace romper is fabulous. Obsessedย with the shade of green!ย Can’t you just picture it with a pair of black tights and ankle-strap pumps this fall?

The Anniversary Sale was made for stocking up on Hanky Pankys!

20% off select Clarisonics!

The beauty department is always worth peeking at during the sale, too! There’s always a ton of value sets put together exclusively for the sale, as well as gifts with purchases.

I’ve been dying for a pair of Rag & Bone skinny pants for a few seasons now.

You can beat the price of this cream-colored skirt for fall!

A DVF wrap dress for 33% off? Can’t beat it! And the color is fab!

This tweed sweater coat is going to be MVP in my fall jacket lineup!

The color of this trench coat can’t be beat! So in love.

This drusy tassel necklace looks so much more expensive than it is! This one, too.

I love a good coat game… How about this jewel-tonedย jacket, this preppy plaid number,ย this draped duster with leather sleeves, this winter white topper, this Vince coat, and this parka? Oh, and this chunky knit jacket is what my cozy-by-the-fire dreams are made of. And I think I actually gasped when I saw this sweater coat with the faux-fur trim. NEED IT!

Stuart Weitzman boots for 36% off? YEP.

This suede skirt makes me want to channel some inner boho this fall. This one, too! And how cute are these fringe booties?! (Also love this pair!)

I’ve been waiting to splurge on a leather jacket one of these years… This might be the one!

Mark my words… You’ll need to get these booties resoled by the end of the season. #WearWithEVERYTHING

I couldn’t order these trousers fast enough! Can you tell what my favorite color is yet? And it’s trending big time for fall… Beyond excited! (Except I might start to look like the Jolly Green Giant before the season is over…) How fabulous is this leather skirt?

I’m also adding this super-soft scarfย to my wish list!

This bucket bag is the cutest.

I’ve been digging vests lately and this long-lineย version is no exceptions!

If you’ve been longing for a Dana Rebecca piece, here’s your chance.

Don’t forget about activewear! How fun are these downtown printed leggings? Also loving these mesh cut-out leggings that are only $41! And how fab are these sneakers?! These bold pants are must-haves, too.

And lastly, but certainly not least, how gorgeous is this Chloe bag?!

You’re an extremely good saleswoman haha. I’m now the proud owner of a Nordstrom Debit Card. Target does the debit card, too and you get the 5% discount! No brainer. Thanks for the tip!!

Haha! I didn’t realize Target had a debit card option, too. Good to know!

I’ve had the Target debit card for awhile thanks to my hubby being a former employee – great idea (5% off on all purchases).

If I sign up for a Nordstrom debit card right now will it give me access to this sale or is it too late?

Thanks for the heads up on the Debit Card, I’m definitely anti-store cards after I had WAY too many in my younger years.

Hi thanks so much, this is good information. Just curious is this a sponsored post?

Thanks! Nope, this is not a sponsored post. Just sharing the good news! (I’ve always been a Nordys girl and I actually used to work at Nordstrom in the handbags department on Michigan Avenue back in 2011. So if I sounded branded in my messaging, it’s probably just because I have the background from working there.) I’ll always let you guys know with a notation at the beginning or end of a post if the post was produced in collaboration with a brand!

    1) Sale, sale, sale! Yaaaasss. Love your picks!

    2) I see your new Macbook in the first pic, and I saw all your laptop dilemmas via Snapchat a few weeks ago. Was wondering how it’s been going with the Macbook? (on the market for a new laptop, but no idea what brand to go with.)

    Thanks!

GIRL! This Macbook. While I love how light it is for travel, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t think the “new chip” is as great as they are making it out to be. And you know how many problems I’ve had with this one… Wouldn’t charge, screen broke, audio cable broke… I’m still loyal to Apple, but I would definitely go with one of the new Macbook Pros.
