Weekend Round-Up

I’m absolutely obsessed with this NYC apartment tour! However, just a little side note — 800 sq ft is kind of massive for a NYC apartment. (For reference: My NYC apartment is approximately 350 sq ft. and the apartment I’m moving to in Chicago is just 700 sq ft.)

A few of my friends have blogged about this home tour, but I had to share it, too! It’s absolutely stunning! Can you tell I’ve got new decor on the mind? 😉

I found pineapple ice trays at a deep discount!

It’s things like this that I will miss in NYC — After the Polo Classic, Hallie and I were filling up our cups at 16 Handles (not what you thought I was going to say, was it? 😉 ) in the East Village when a chic-looking woman complemented my Kate Spade Dress. There are some Kate Spade dresses that you can spot a mile away, but the striped dress I was wearing was seemingly subdued, unless you’re a Kate-Spade-New-Arrivals-Stalker, like myself. Hallie and I explained that we just came from the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic earlier that day and asked if she worked with Kate Spade or was simply a fan. She told us that her name was Nora and that she was an artist that worked on a video for the new Kate Spade store in Hong Kong. Nora told us that the video was kind of hard to find, but it was maybe on the Kate Spade Hong Kong Facebook page. We told her we would have to check it out! When I got home about an hour later and logged onto my computer, I went to KateSpade.com to pull the link for the dress that I was wearing that day. And low and behold — there was Nora‘s face, right there on the Kate Spade homepage!! Umm… Humble, much?! It’s so crazy how you never know who you’ll run into in this city!

Absolutely love this article! It reminds me so much of when I decided to move to New York City in February of 2012. I gave myself a deadline (June of 2012) and then told EVERYONE so I couldn’t go back on my decision. Told my boss prematurely, told my roommates so they would have to find a 2-bedroom apartment, etc. The message is phenomenal: If you’re not happy, change it!

I think I may have only talked about this on SnapChat, but I recently went to a Lobster Roll Rumble with my friend Grace! OMG, it was SO GOOD!! She just wrote a recap post here, you should definitely read it and make note of it on your calendar for next summer!

PS: If you’re on SnapChat and want to follow along with our adventures in Palm Springs, my username is jessicasturdy.

I shared another post from Paris this week!

Ann Taylor is 40% off all weekend!

My friend Ellen has these Ray-Bans in Palm Springs and I’m obsessed with the oversized shape.

Hope you have a good one! xo

    nice outfit!

and I agree with the statement “If you’re not happy, change it”! I thinks it’s a words we should live by and not to be afraid to try new things to be happy!
