Striped Shift

A black and white striped shift dress is a year-round closet staple. Wear it with a pair of flat ankle booties for a weekend stroll, pair it with a structured blazer for a business meeting, or put on your favorite pair of sandals and hit the beach. This dress does it all!

Kate Spade Saturday just launched a whole collection of pieces that do just that… The Lucky Seven. Each piece works for a variety of occasions and is pretty much season-less, too. You can never have enough versatile closet staples in your arsenal! Transition pieces that work from early Spring to late Fall, and even through parts of winter if we’re lucky, make getting dressed so much easier. You know I’m all about remixing my wardrobe season after season after season!

When you change your accessories, you change your whole look. It’s kind of like magic!

Whenever I’m wearing an all-black-and-white ensemble, it’s fun to inject a little pop of color. Whether it be a bold red lip or a bright yellow bag, a splash of color gives your outfit so much more personality.

Colorful cross-body bag have been among my favorite accessories this fall. They add so much to an outfit and are perfect for running your weekend errands.. Gotta keep those hands and shoulders free!

Isn’t it amazing how much of a difference a statement accessory makes in an outfit? With the red bag, this outfit feels oh-so Parisian chic. But with a citrus-colored yellow bag, the whole looks feels very uptown-meets-downtown. (And also makes me feel as if spring is on the horizon! #WishfulThinking)

I have this dress too and it’s seriously the best! Love how you did it now with the long sleeve tee underneath, and in the summer it totally works with a Panama hat and sandals!
