“Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.” –Karl Lagerfeld.
After landing in Chicago late last Friday night and having to be up early Saturday morning to head to the suburbs, I wanted nothing more than to throw on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt. But seeing as sweatpants and sweatshirts aren’t exactly acceptable to wear in public, I had to figure something out.
I picked out a pair of trouser shorts that are more baggy than my loosest pair of sweatpants, a chunky knit sweater that is really a sweatshirt in disguise, and some rugged leather accessories.
I was wearing pajamas. But it looked like a sweater and shorts. Perfect. A giant pair of dark sunglasses to hide behind was the perfect finishing touch!

I think the best outfit is one you can be completely comfortable in and obviously you pulled it off! Cute look!
Thanks Amber! ๐
very cute & great solution! I looked at that sweater, but it was to short on my torso! Love it on you though!
I have world’s shortest torso so I guess that’s why it works!
Love this look! Cute, comfy…but still chic! ๐

Isn’t funny?! When I think about wearing yoga pants to run some errands, I have to think twice. ๐
Per-Fect! This is a great sweat outfit in disguise! LOVE the brown boat shoes. I don’t think I have seen that color.
I think Sperry calls it “tan” if you’re interested … One of my girlfriends in college had this color and I knew I had to have them too!
