Ruby Red

by Jessica Sturdy on December 27, 2012

What’s more festive than a bright red puffer jacket?! These freezing cold temps at home have left me wanting to stay indoors at all costs. When I’ve had to venture out, I’ve thrown on a cozy tee, my trusty JBrands, a winter accessory, a pair of boots, and my new puffer!

This Kenneth Cole Puffer is super light-weight, but still very warm. I’m sure you saw my tweets about my extra-large suitcase being filled to the brim and you’re probably thinking, “Well why would you pack a puffy coat in your suitcase if you were short on space??” The amazing thing about this jacket is that it comes with a carrying pouch so you can easily just fold/stuff it back in! Perfect for traveling or simply storing a warm jacket in your purse for those bi-polar days when Mother Nature can’t make up her mind. Who would have thought?!

Oh, and the best part — 100% of the proceeds of this jacket go to Awearness, The Kenneth Cole Foundation. The foundation promotes, encourages, and inspires social change, and supports like-minded individuals and organizations to make a difference.

Sadly, my Sorels are back in NYC so I’ve been sporting my old Burberry Rainboots with a pair of thick, cozy socks. This pair is among my faves!

How adorable is this Kate Spade hat?! My youngest brother picked it out 100% by himself! I hadn’t even pinned it or anything. I was beyond impressed and have barely taken it off since Christmas morning. Thank you, little bro. :)

Hey, now I can say, “I have walked where Jessica Sturdy has walked.” because I’ve been to where you are in these photos. If you want to use a log home as a background while you’re ‘in town’ just let me know…if it snows it and the dry creek bed make interesting backdrops.

Hi Jessica!

You do look like a snow bunny! You look radiant in red! Love the red puffer jacket, & the Kate Spade bow hat from your littler bro is adorable – can’t believe he picked that out all by himself! I finally got that Merona plaid scarf from Target. It was sold out at my local Target, so I went to another one and they had a bunch of them left. I love it – I have been wearing it a lot – it’s a great holiday scarf with the red and the green in it!

Adorable outfit!! I love the coat and have been looking for the perfect puffer jacket for months now…. I think I have found one :) It looks like it’s a little cropped, does it fit true to size?

Jessica December 28, 2012 at 1:50 am

Yep, definitely fits true to size, maybe a tad bit big! This is a Small and it’s perfect… not too tight, not too roomy. It’s a bit more cropped in the back, but the front hits right at my hip bones/waist!

What a great coat. I have a white puffer coat and I love it. The only problem is how quickly it gets dirty. But at least it washes easily. Adore your snow bunny outfit.
