Trend to Try: Crochet Sneakers

A roundup of crochet sneakers that are designer dupes for the Chloe Nama Platform Sneakers.

Ever since Chloé debuted the cutest pair of whipstitched platform sneakers, crochet sneakers have been popping up everywhere. Trust me when I say you’re going to want to wear a pair this spring! They’re sporty, but still so chic. Don’t fret if $800 designer sneakers aren’t in your budget… Luckily, there are tons of budget-friendly alternatives already available!

When it comes to styling, you can wear crochet sneakers with almost anything in the warmer months. They’ll be great with raw-hem jeans, cropped pants, dresses, skirts, and even shorts. No matter your style, they should fit right into your wardrobe! Wear them with flowy, feminine dresses, or even androgynous chino pants. Denim or prints, neutrals or bold colors. If you pick a more neutral pair, you could totally wear them to work, too!

Chloe Crochet Sneakers

If you’re looking to splurge this spring, you can’t go wrong with any colorway of the Chloe Nama Platform Sneakers! They’re all so colorful and fun. If I had to pick a favorite, the Happy Yellow yarn is probably my favorite. Or maybe Pop Orange?! If you’re looking for something more subtle, I’m in love with the Cosmic Blue pair.

Chloe Sneaker Dupes

The Dolce Vita Dolen Knit Sneakers are a dead ringer for the Chloé crochet sneakers. Dare I say I like them even more than the Chloé pair?! The Dolce Vita sneakers will run you $150, but you can sign up for emails to receive 20% off your first purchase.

When it comes to the Dolen Sneakers, the Sandstone Knit is my favorite neutral pair, and I love the Pastel Stripe Knit for a multicolored option. You can shop them on Zappos, too!

DSW has a similar pair for $50 less, too!

Target also had a pair of Chloe dupes, but they sold out almost immediately. This is the link for the Universal Thread Persephone Sneakers so you can keep tabs to see if the shoe comes back in stock. They were only $43, so definitely worth a little stalking for such an affordable price.

For a funkier patterned pair, this crochet style by Free People is kind of fun. It’s called the Catch Me If You Can Sneaker and retails for $138. While the other pairs on this list feel a bit more modern, these sneakers with crochet patterns have a more retro vibe.

Farm Rio has entered the shoe space and while not a total designer dupe, I really like this pair with some crochet details! Very true to the Farm Rio brand with lots of color, along with print and pattern. They’re on sale, too!

Dillard’s also has a multi-colored pair by Chelsea & Violet for $98, as well as a black & white colorway.

Crochet Sneaker FAQs

  1. What is the sizing for the Chloé Nama Sneakers? They’re only available in whole sizes, so it’s recommended to size up if you’re in between.
  2. How does the Dolce Vita Dolen Sneaker sizing run? I’ve read that they run small, so consider going up a half size!
  3. What are your thoughts on the Valentino crochet sneakers? They’re definitely cute if they’re in your budget, but I personally think the Chloé pair is easier to style. PS: Check out this post for my Valentino Rockstud Sneakers!
  4. Have you seen the Superga Crochet Sneakers? Yes, but those read more like lace to me.
  5. Have you found any other Chloe Dupes? Check Etsy!
