Before we get started with this dress and my favorite coffee shop, let me first apologize for there not being a What I Wore Last Week post today. I know that’s been a favorite for some of you, and the perfectionist in me hates to have to skip a week. Last week was a DOOZY in more ways than one… I barely got dressed some days (do workout clothes count?) and on the days where I did have to get myself looking presentable, I was too preoccupied to remember to snap photos. My niece and sister-in-law were staying with me this weekend and I took approximately 200 photos of them, but didn’t get many with me included. Instead of having a weekly recap with two photos, I’ll add those to next week’s post instead!
But I did wear this maxi dress on two different occasions last week, so hopefully that counts for something?! Let’s chat about this dress, though, because it’s not your ordinary find…
It’s made out of the softest (ethically produced) tee shirt fabric, but most importantly — the company’s mission is to end human trafficking in Nepal! Elegantees was founded in NYC, but currently employs 18 women who have recovered from trafficking, and provide them with a living wage in a safe sewing environment. (And they hope to grow that number!)
*FYI: This post is NOT sponsored! The ladies at Elegantees sent me this dress to try out, but I am not being compensated to post about it — I’m just happy to share cool things when I find them!
I got so many compliments on this dress when I wore it last week… It’s the perfect material and silhouette to dress up or down in the summer! I threw it on with slides and straw hat for a quick coffee run in my neighborhood (more on that below), but I wore it out to dinner with festive red accessories over the Fourth of July, too. The material is great for high heat and you can’t beat the price — under $80! (And that’s before the Bows & Sequins reader discount!)
I’m planning on wearing this dress next time I travel, too… It’s so comfortable and will be perfect for a long plane ride!
Beyond this dress, they have a ton of classic styles on the site…. From tees to dresses to skirts, and kids clothing, too. Highly recommend checking them out!
Use code bowsandsequins for 15% off your entire order! (Plus, there’s free shipping and free returns, too.)
Another FYI: I found this dress to run pretty big… I’m wearing an XS!

Oh, La Colombe, how I love you… If you follow along on Instagram Stories, you know that I’m next level addicted to La Colombe. When I’m making coffee at home and ordering out at most coffee shops, I’m an Iced Almond Milk Latte girl. But I can’t get enough of La Colombe’s Draft Lattes! For the last few months, the Triple Draft Latte was my jam… I’d get a plain Triple Draft or a Triple Black and Tan, which was the Triple Draft mixed with the Pure Black on draft. I’m not a big dairy fan, but that’s where I made the exception. (And for whatever reason, it never upset my stomach either. 🙏🏼)
BUT OH MY GOSH, YOU GUYS! They now have an Oat Milk Draft Latte and it is SO DAMN GOOD. I think about it when I first wake up, throughout the day, and before I go to bed, too. (Yes, I have a bit of a coffee obsession… Sue me.) I was telling my favorite barista (at the Gold Coast location in my neighborhood) how I loved the Oat Milk, but still did kind of miss the Triple Draft and he recommended I do an Oat Milk Black & Tan with an Extra Shot! Holy shit, game over. This is my drink of the summer! Dairy free, tastes strong, and still has that creamy oat milk taste and a hint of texture from the draft latte, too. Check, check, check, check. You have to order it and let me know what you think!
If you aren’t familiar with La Colombe, I probably sound like I’m speaking a different language. Sowwy!
Your maxi dress is absolutely a dream!
