Monogram Monday

lands-end-11

There’s seriously nothing I love more than a good monogram. That extra little touch of personalization makes an ordinary piece seem so much more special. You may recall that I did a gift guide about monograms a week or two ago, but I’m back today with a few of my favorite monogrammed pieces.

Monogrammed gifts truly are my favorite to give and get! The only thing that can make cozy cashmere sweaters, rich terry cloth robes, soft slippers, and plaid scarves any more luxurious are a little set of initials.

I got to pick out five of my favorite monogrammed items from the Lands’ End Monogram Shop and I could not be happier with how they turned out! Right on the website, you can choose your thread color, monogram font/shape, and placement; and then see how it looks on the item you’re personalizing. It’s pretty awesome! And I can totally vouch that the pieces you receive will match what it looks like online. Gift giving made easy and effortless!

And now for a fun little campaign that Lands’ End is running to celebrate monogramming season — Monogram Monday. Every Monday from now until Christmas, Lands’ End will be posting a set of initials on their social media channels. If your initials match the ones that Lands’ End posts on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter, you can enter for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card. Your initials don’t have to match exactly… it can be any order or combination! (For example, my initials are JRS. I could still enter to win if the combination was SJR.) Find out more details at www.landsend.com/monogrammonday!

Lands’ End posted the first set of initials today (SAC) so be sure to head over and enter to win if your initials match! 🙂

Nice scarf. I like the idea of having something with my initials, haven’t ever really thought about getting something personalized for myself but will absolutely look into it.

I love the vest and scarf! I am not personally a huge fan of monogramming sweaters, but I like that the logo is subtle and not too in-your-face. Also, I think the “Jessica” Starbucks cup is a cute touch. 🙂

I need that vest! It’s so cute that the monogram is in black thread as well – a bit more subdued and different from other monogramed items!

Love this! I want one of those sweaters, but I’ve never bought at Lands’ End. How does their sizing run (compared to J.Crew or Loft)?

    • 12.2.14
      Jessica Sturdy commented:

The sizing is pretty similar, but Lands End may run a little bit bigger.. I wear an XS (2-4) at Lands End and typically a Small (4-6) at J.Crew. I would just go by the numbered size, rather than the letter!

Love how these turned out! Sometimes it can be hard to commit to a monogram not knowing how it will look in the end! Can you tell me what size you are wearing in the lands end vest and sweater? We don’t have a lands end local and I want to make sure I get the right fit for myself and also need a gift for friend. Thanks!

I really like the idea of adding a monogram to one of my sweaters. The sweaters in the second picture look really cute with JSR etched into them. I would love to have my initials sewn into my clothes. That would be the perfect touch that my plain sweaters need.
