Spending a weekend in the city without traveling was everything I hoped it to be and more! While I definitely could have laid in bed all weekend (majorly sleep deprived over here), I’m glad I had hot tickets to tear me out of bed. As I mentioned last week, I got to go to the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Life event with Express on both Saturday and Sunday. I know this sounds crazy, but I had never actually been inside of the David Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center before this weekend. I’ve definitely been missing out… It’s so pretty, especially out on the second floor terrace. Now I’m dying to go see a ballet!
Both days of the event were equal parts fun, entertaining, and inspiring. The panels absolutely flew by!
I was so bummed I had to miss out on a portion of the afternoon speakers on Saturday. I had a long-standing appointment that afternoon that I wasn’t able to cancel so I had to miss out on Chrissy Teigen, Sophia Amoruso, Aliza Licht, Shay Mitchell, and Elizabeth Holmes. Thankfully I was able to follow along on Twitter!
My favorite panel on Saturday was definitely “Find Your Power” with Sallie Krawcheck, Julie Greenwald, and Megyn Kelly. All of the women are so incredibly bad ass. I’ve been watching Megyn on TV for so long and hearing how she got her start made me develop even more of a girl crush!
On Sunday, my favorite panel was “Find Your Voice: Express Yourself” because it was all about fashion! Liz Crystal (CMO of Express), Christene Barberich (EIC of Refinery29), and Katherine Vargas (Director of Hispanic Media at the White House) gave a whole bunch of insight about the role that fashion plays in their industries. (And it’s even a topic that comes up among women at the White House! Who knew?)
Hope your weekend was equally enjoyable! xo

Ahhh I’m so glad you enjoyed Cosmo’s Fun Fearless Life!! I used to work at Cosmo and I got to give a lot of ideas of what sort of women/ discussions they should have at it when it was in the beginning stages. I’m sad I had to miss it since I also had something I couldn’t cancel, but I got to live through the pictures that my friends who still work there posted.
