You may remember that I teamed up with Nordstrom Rack earlier this fall for a new store opening in Brooklyn. (If you need to jog your memory, you can check it out here!) Well it turns out that Nordstrom Rack is opening another store in Brooklyn in a few weeks and I get to join in on the fun once again! Typically, these private shopping events aren’t open to the public, but 25 of you will be able to come and shop early! And one person will get a styling session with me! Fun, right? More details are below.
While I was shopping for something to wear to the upcoming event, I couldn’t help but notice all of the menswear-inspired apparel with a feminine flair. I’ve long been one to love that “borrowed from the boys” look, but it’s even more my style when the pieces have flirtatious embellishments mixed in.
Take this Milly jacket, for example. While the luxe fabric and camel color has a bit of a masculine feel, the exaggerated ruffled collar and lapel make it feel super fresh and feminine. When I saw it on the rack, there was absolutely no question if I was buying it or not. This little jacket will be in my closet for years to come!
I kept the rest of this look pretty classic to let the jacket do the talking… A jewel-toned top, (can’t get enough of the emerald green + camel combo), a pair of skinny jeans, a simple layering necklace that doesn’t compete with the neckline of the jacket, and a pair of leopard-print pumps. Leopard is a neutral, after all. 🙂
Now back to the Nordstrom Rack store opening…
There’s room for 25 guests to shop the new store in Brooklyn before it opens to the public on October 8th! (Read: You get to shop the store while all of the very best merchandise is available! Remember last time when I found a Vince coat for 85% off? Yeah. You want to shop early, trust me on this one.)
On October 5th, Nordstrom Rack will choose one of the 25 guests to have a little styling session with me at the event. I can’t wait! If you’re local and able to make it to the event on October 7th, sign up using this link. Hurry, hurry!
Thank you Nordstrom Rack for collaborating on this post!
