When Hitha asked me to do a post about my favorite gift ever, it really got me thinking. I mean, there have been numerous birthdays, holidays, etc. How do I pick ONE favorite gift?
I decided that my Canon Rebel t3 was my favorite gift that I’ve received lately! Having a ‘real’ camera has really sparked my photography interest. I took a short 40 minute class at Best Buy, but I could use a lot more instruction. I feel like there are so many amazing things that this camera can do that I don’t even know about!
I didn’t think I would invest in a DSLR for a while, but I was surprised with the Rebel for my birthday a few months ago! My outfit pictures are still taken with my Canon PowerShot, but I take all of the pictures for my DIY and Recipe posts with my DSLR. One step at a time!
What’s the best gift YOU have received?! ๐
My husband and I splurged & bought that same camera right before Christmas too! He is going through all the settings & playing around with it to learn all the different things he can do – you will notice a HUGE difference in your outfit post pictures when you start using it…it’s amazing!
That is a great gift! Cameras like that intimidate me but I have been curious to learn more about them so hopefully I can get one of my own!

It is hard to decide on my favorite/best gift. For my wedding, my mom had a quilt redone that my great grandmother had made. It brought a tear to my eye and know that I will always cherish it.
I need to invest in a DSLR. I will eventually.
Gosh, that’s such a tough question! I think I’ll have to go with the knit blanket my grandma gave me for my high school graduation. She knits one for every grandchild (and she has 12!), in whatever color we chose. Considering how bad her arthritis is, I can’t imagine anything I treasure more.
I have that same camera as well! I’m going to have to stop by your blog more in case you share any tips. ๐ I’m still learning too so I’d appreciate any advice you pass on!
