I’m not a big outdoorsy girl, but I’m a firm believer that brisk fall days are meant to be spent outside! But sometimes with college football Saturdays and NFL football Sundays, it’s already Monday morning and I’ve spent my weekend days in front of a TV. The Bears game was at night last Sunday so I made Matt promise that we would get to go out and have a fun “fall” day. (You know how boys are with their football.) We’ll just pretend that he wasn’t on his Blackberry checking his fantasy team scores (yes, scoreS, he has three fantasy teams) majority of the time.
Verrryyy skeptical look.
2 Sparrows just opened up on Diversey and I’ve heard really good things. We wanted to eat there for brunch, but it was super crowded. We ended up going to Sarks in the Park at Fullerton & Clark instead. It was really good! Plus, they had a tv with football playing so I didn’t feel too bad about dragging Matt out of his apartment on a Sunday. I’ll definitely be keeping this place in mind when I want to go out to breakfast and I hear the football excuse. 🙂
We went down to Dose Market in the River East Art Center on Sunday afternoon. After browsing around a while, we wandered out on to the lakefront. It was such a gorgeous day and the lake looked so pretty! A very nice woman walked by and offered to take our picture since we were taking it ourselves. Nice people make me smile. 🙂
After the lake, we walked up Michigan Avenue and around Oak Street, but only stopped into a few shops. However, we did stop into Ghirardelli for a peanut butter hot fudge sundae. De.lish.us.
Then it was home to watch the Bears WIN. And eat Chinese take out. Overall, a perfect fall day!
