Hi friends! So sorry for the radio silence over here the past few days… It’s been a crazy few weeks of meetings for work, traveling for work, planning for upcoming trips, and just trying to stay afloat! So. Much. Going. On. Overwhelmed would be an understatement, but I’m trying to trudge along. The next few weeks look like they’ll be as crazy as the last few so I’m going to go ahead and apologize in advance if I don’t have time to post as much. Hopefully that won’t be the case, but there just never seems to be enough hours in the day!
A few weeks ago, I got to spend part of my Friday afternoon playing in the Nicole Miller Sample Closet and it was just as fabulous as it sounds! Racks and racks of so many beautiful dresses and separates, some of which I recognized from previous Nicole Miller runway shows. I got to borrow a few pieces to take home with me and it’s been so fun playing dress up and wearing some fabulous pieces to parties over the past few weeks.
One of my favorites from the pieces I picked out is this fab yellow dress. Unless it’s a versatile LBD, I usually end up wearing my dresses the exact same way. I’ll have a pair of shoes, a jacket, or pieces of jewelry that match the dress perfectly and I just end up wearing that exact same combination whenever I wear the dress. With this yellow dress, I challenged myself to wear it more than once while I was borrowing it and to wear it in two completely different ways.
First up, I paired the dress with a fantastic beaded tank top. The punchy colors and the shape of each piece go so well together! I kept my accessories overly minimalistic (no jewelry and just a clutch) and wore my go-to pair of nude sandals to keep the focus on the dress and top.
Be sure to check back tomorrow to check out how I styled the dress the second time I wore it!
