Short & Sweet

by Jessica Sturdy on January 1, 2014

Happy 2014! I’ll be sharing more of my reflections and resolutions, but today I’m going to keep it short and sweet. Kind of like this skirt. Kind of obsessed with the scalloped hem!

I wore this outfit to the Holiday Happy Hour I hosted at Yumi Kim a few weeks ago! Thankfully the event was indoors so I could get away with going sans tights, but OMG – it was brutal shooting these photos. I mean, I think there may have been more outtakes than usable photos… A little peek at those at the end of the post! ;)

Yumi Kim Beaded Jacket, Lena Tank, Beaded Skirt c/o | Capwell + Co Earrings | Capwell + Co Cuff | Zara Pumps

And one more just to show you how freaking cold it was while taking these… #windgust

Those wind gusts are the absolute worst – I know what you mean about having so many non-usable photos! My husband always tells me, “Try not to let the cold show on your face”…but I’m not very good at it. You, however, look so gorgeous here and I would never have guessed you were freezing! Love the matching pieces!! :)

Hahaha I tried ONCE to take photos outdoors while wearing a skirt and basically had the same result. I LOVE this outfit though. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s absolutely stunning!

Oh man, I can totally relate on how hard it is to take pictures in the cold. I don’t think I’ll be able to take pictures sans tights until at least March. Sigh, such is #winterblogging

Love the look today girl! The skirt is stunning and I love how you paired it with grey pumps! Such a great little look for the holidays!

Taking photos in the freezing cold is by far the hardest part of being a blogger up here in the north-ish. You look stunning!

I love a good scalloped hem and this skirt is incredible! I especially love it paired with the electric blue. I wish I were brave enough to wear sequins and/or beading; I’m always too scared it will all unravel and fall off.
