One Jacket, Three Ways

by Jessica Sturdy on September 26, 2013

As I was browsing around TJ Maxx recently, I came across an absolutely amazing shimmery tweed designer jacket that I knew was coming home with me the moment I spotted it! With such a neutral color palette, I knew this jacket would fit into my work and weekend wardrobes.

For the weekend, I love the juxtaposition of a sparkly tweed against a boyfriend jean. I’m always a sucker for that uptown meets downtown kind of thing. I paired the ensemble with a regular ol’ tee shirt, a statement necklace, and a pair of fun sandals. Even though I’m wearing heels, this look would definitely work with flats, too!

When it comes to wearing a shimmery jacket to the workplace, I want to make sure I’m a bit more buttoned up. I wore this jacket with a black skirt, a white button-front, and a classic pair of pointed-toe black flats. Since my skirt is a little more fun (hello, fluted hem!), I thought heels could have been a bit much for a corporate environment.

And lastly, when running out for a fancy dinner and some cocktails with girlfriends, I threw this fabulous jacket over a simple black dress! To make my look even more glam, I wore my prized sequin pumps. Sparkle on sparkle!
