Take Me to the Tropics

by Jessica Sturdy on January 22, 2013

The day it drops into the 20′s is the day I start fantasizing about a tropical getaway. Actually, I guess I started thinking about vacay when I noticed my legs glowing in the dark the other night, but that’s another story. I could use some sunlight! ;)

Whenever my SAD starts to kick in, I try to counteract with wearing lots of bright colors and day dreams about my happy place.

This Echo scarf is beyond versatile! With a color palette spanning from both ends of the rainbow, the options are really limitless. You can simply throw it on with a basic black, white, or gray tee for a pop of color. I almost paired this scarf with my fuchsia sweater because I loved the mint+pink combination. Also loving the idea of this scarf with lavender! See? So many options!

Frenchi Blouse (very similar.. under $18!) / gifted Echo Scarf / AG for Calypso Cords (very similarunder $25!) / J.Crew Metallic Flats / JustFab Tote / Michael Kors Watch / J.Crew Bracelet (very similar)

Thanks for the pics, Rose!

Great scarf! It’s very similar to the one I just bought from Target. I’m going to wear it today with teal slacks for the office.

That scarf is awesome! I can see why its so versatile! And its a great idea to wear brights when its so cold outside. I’m just going for warmth today since it wont get above freezing here either.

Your hair looks so gorgeous! These bright colors (and that scarf) are perfect for a freezing day. Is it bad that I am craving a vacation and I had one only a month ago?

It is SO freezing in NYC today! I’m pretty grumpy about it, so I probably should have taken a page out of your book and worn bright colors to make up for it (instead, I’m currently wearing all black haha). You look adorable!

I love this colorful outfit! I’ve been feeling like I need some sun lately too! In the last couple weeks, I’ve had several people comment that I look like snow white. Which is basically a nice way of saying that I’m really pale. lol
