Morning Mimosas

One of my best friends from home, Nikki, came up to Chicago to visit me this past weekend and it couldn’t have been better timing! We had such a fun weekend!

We got up pretty early, got Starbucks, and headed downtown Saturday morning. We met up with Nikki’s aunt and uncle at the Signature Room in the John Hancock for brunch. Thankfully, we got there early and missed the downpour outside. We had a few pineapple mimosas before brunch and they were fantastic! The view from lunch was great. I hadn’t been up in the John Hancock building before so it was a new (and very touristy!) experience.

We did a little shopping downtown before heading back up to Lincoln Park for the rest of the afternoon! We both found some cute fall pieces at H&M so I’d consider it a success! ๐Ÿ™‚ Such a fun morning overall!

Pineapple Mimosas in The Signature Room

The weather was quite iffy Saturday morning so the view was nonexistent when we first arrived. You would have thought the windows were the glazed glass that you can’t see through. It was THAT foggy. We had a table on the glass though and the weather finally cleared up a little bit. We were on the east side of the building so our view was overlooking Lake Michigan and Navy Pier!
